I'm so happy there's a Scientist album from '81.

He actually had about ten albums released that year! Including a bunch of collabs. In Dub, Scientific Dub, and Scientist Meets the Space Invaders are all great too.

This was fucking awesome, thank you. I only heard of Glenn Branca this year because he died. I can't believe I never discovered this album until now.

1. Sunnyboys (this S/T is one of the better band debuts out there)

2. Heaven Up Here (as mentioned in OP)

3. Nightclubbing (as mentioned in thread)

4. Place Without a Postcard (my favourite Midnight Oil, love the oft-maligned production)

More WATMM-wise, Exit has already been mentioned. BGM, Technodelic (both YMO) & Biotop (Asmus Tietchens) are decent.

I think I'd make an exception for E2-E4 since it's so good.

The New Traditionalists is the beginning of the end for Devo, imo, but I haven't visited it very much so I'll take it for another spin.

Rush's Moving Pictures I already listened to from start to finish for the first time and it's really great.

Couldn't get into Level 42, but I'll give it another chance in case it's a grower.

An unfamiliar Merzbow is always great to check out.

etc etc, thanks guys, loving it.

Thought I had another contribution, but I confused Scientist with Young Scientist, another early 80s act with Roland Barker.
