That's terrible Ambermonk, I'm sorry about your friend. I have no idea what a JET is though.

OK Chen I read the reports but they mean very little. https://thediplomat....n-in-fukushima/

The diplomat is where academics go to die.
I guess nothing is going to change your mind, but I’ll just say that pooping in Tokyo will not expose you to extraordinary radiation levels.

I guess the internet has warped my brain to never trust any authority at all, I can't help that I'm afraid!

Incidentally it's all a moot point right now, as I can't really afford to go to Japan.

I have a Japanese nephew.
Honestly, pooping in Japan is the best poop you’ll ever have.

I appreciate your sympathies Madame C. The university we graduated from established an organization named after him a few years ago dedicated to learning more about Japan. I can't afford to go either atm. But I have little doubt that radiation levels have dropped in the past 8 years. If you haven't yet visited, I do recommend doing so at least once.

Sorry for hijacking the thread guys. My next mundane order of the day is getting my winter tires swapped out for my all-season set on my car.

Just ate a grilled cheese sandwich with a heaping dose of shaved ham thrown in.  Surprisingly good for something so simple.  Made me wonder why I bother eating anything else.

Listening to the soothing cock rock cassette demos of "Alice 'n' Chains" (the precursor to Alice IN Chains).  All class.
