I did indeed enjoy these, here's some responses I wrote while listening:

Bitroast inmoside

Peak is a deeply emotive wall of ambiance; I particularly like the end where the layers fade away to reveal a delicate synth line. Epiano is interesting in the way the long reverbs from the rolling piano melody create a mysterious and perplexing atmosphere. Notes is a disorientating vortex of cycling repetitions reminding me of time-travel. More notes is lush as fuck the way the chord pattern goes from dissonant portamento to in-tune, I’d like to know what synth this is since I assume it can’t be a Yamaha GX-1! Chains reminds me of cartoon skeletons toiling away doing hard labour in a black-and-white dungeon. Arpeggiator has a groovy gelatinous beat. Detune is like an interlude encoded to remind you this has all just been a dream. New Age (dub) takes the you on a journey with the slow sub bass progressions, this would be a good track to walk at night with.

Bitroast febepe

Sun vers is a foreboding and ritualistic banger with the occasional bits of harmonic light coming through. Fish tape has a RDJ album feel to me with the warm vibrato basslines and delicate melodies set against the crunchy beats. Sydney track has a euphoric feel and has very catchy progression of verse/chorus like sections to it. Sub drift has an underwater feel lulling me into a hypnotic slowed down trance like state.

peak was the first thing i did on the novation peak, just 1 midi track being fed into it and fiddling with the knobs (effects and everything too was just the peak.. it even distorts a bit later on which i'm guessing was distortion + overdrives and i just completely didn't realise at the time until later listening back). the 'layers' fade awaying i think is referring to the osc3> filter mod creating lots of wobbliness which sounds like extra synth layers being applied ontop, and toning that down toward the end. notes and more notes is also the novation peak.. except this time i was playing around with random scala microtonal scales and using ableton live to create 2 x midi tracks with a bunch of predefined sustained notes in different clips, and then setting the playback to play between the different clips randomly, so between the 2 midi tracks it was making different chords over and over in a pretty "predefined random" kind of way, but using a very simple egg head kind of method! epiano is the QY700 internal sounds being sequenced externally with microtonal scale detuning the notes (using the H-pi instruments TBX2, and the scale called "Pentatonic7Lmt" (i'm not microtonal custom scale expert yet so i'm still just relying on found presets and scala files found on internet... or creating them from scratch using the retune knobs on the korg monologue and novation peak.. as opposed to creating the tunings using math or anything which is how a lot of people do it...). arpeggiator and detune are the blofeld. new age dub > sun vers > fish tape > sydney track, are all ableton with machinedrum being used for beats.
