if he manages to pull this off this country will explode. i can only hope the state legislatures do not buy into this idea.

it would signal an end to the country. really. not to be hyperbolic but if he gets even a few republican wackos to go along it'll be a bad sign.

Biden was a pretty bad candidate considering that he didn't win more clearly against an autocrat & the worst president the US ever had. I doubt that Warren or Sanders would have done much worse

you'd think so but he got more votes than any presidential candidate ever.

also, many people just vote for party regardless of candidate. but a lot of people did come out to vote. trump rallied the base hardcore and all the normie repubs were scared of socialism and also not winning the political team sport that is american politics.

It shouldn't have been so close. But then again, who are these people, these 70+ million people, who voted for the wannabe dictator in the first place? That should not have happened.

Biden might have got the most votes in the history of the US, but Trump did also get more votes than most other presidents (and that after his horrible first term). The voter turn-out was just really high because the situation was so severe and unbearable. And if people vote for party regardless of candidate, a different Democratic candidate would have done the job, too, no? But it's impossible to prove since we don't have a parallel universe at hand to test it out and it's over anyway. Glad Trump lost.

Is there any remotely legitimate election fraud in any state? Heard something about 2600 uncounted votes which had more for Trump. Not sure how valid that is though.

I really hope there isn't a pathway to a coop where "Oh we found 3000 votes thrown out, so now we need to throw out 5,000,000 votes"

biden will end up over 80 million votes. pretty amazing. that trump got 73 is a testament to the significance of the information issue. disinfo, gullibility, lax norms, pretend journalism, facebook, user data, foreign interference, alignments among forces, congress members going all in, widescale info war measures, the difficulty of epistemology, illiteracy regarding what journalism is and how to recognize good journalism, etc. there was a blue wave but there was a red wave, too. turnout will reach 67% of elligible voters. and a big portion was driven by straight disinfo.

Funny how Trump said more people voted for him as an incumbent president than anyone else in history. Yet he fails to point out that the most people have voted against him in history!

That just sums up Trump so well.

there's no fraud.  just saw a poll that said 77% of trump voters think the election was won by biden due to FRAUD.

so, all this shit is definitely taking a toll. trump is salting the earth. continuing to drive that wedge and deepen the division thus making it more difficult for a biden administration to do its job once he takes office.

giuliani saying there's a conspiracy that was carried out from "a centralized place" etc etc is just bonkers.

this shit doesn't lead anywhere good.

sincerely hoping trump drops dead sooner rather than later. falls down a well.. gets kicked by a mule.. whatever.

michigan is certified. georgia is doing a recount and biden is still winning.

wisconsin is going to start a recount once they agree on how it will proceed. they're arguing a lot about that and some of the republicans on that committee or whatever.. are offering banana conspiracies etc.. just saw a clip of the video call feed of part of that discussion and a woman who is a democrat was basically losing it and calling bullshit on everyone and telling them to stop referencing things that do not exist.

btw the recount cost $3million and that's paid for by the campaign that asks for the recount which is the trump campaign.

I'm reading conflicting stuff about this. Maybe the situation is still developing. All I know is, if they try to throw the Detroit votes out, there are going to be a whole lot of people in Detroit pissed off at a much smaller handful of Republicans. This could be where the civil war starts. I hope those scumbags back away from that cliff.

the 2 republicans voted not to certify then they got hardcore shamed for it so they reversed.. the election was certified. then trump called those 2 electors personally (illegal???) and now they want to change their votes to NO and decertify. apparently there is no legal mechanism for that process so as it stands now the election is certified.

seriously this shit is all so far out of what is in any way normal. probably standard operating procedure for trump.

the other tactic trump is trying to push is going to the state legislature and somehow proving to them the election was fraudulent and getting them to directly declare him the winner in that state. this has never happened. ever. and is one of those  "nuclear options".

so, the state legislature has already said "no way" to this option publicly and declared that biden is the winner and trump should get over it.

today the head of the US chamber of commerce, a trump supporter said "Biden is the president elect and we need to move on" also, Jamie Dimon - head of everyone's favorite bank JO Morgan Chase also said "trump lost, Biden is the president elect. we need to move forward w/the transition"

so. we'll see what happens but hopefully more of our corporate masters will come out and say trump lost and time to move on.

hopefully trump will no longer be considered "a useful idiot" and will be discarded like the trash he is once he's out of office by the powers that be... foreign or otherwise.

Yeah some of it depends how Michigan shakes out. I'll breathe easier once they certify the results there. With all the back channel stuff happening like Trump inviting Republican legislators from Michigan to the White House for talks, it makes me wonder what he's scheming. I don't put it past the GOP to go along with the coup.

They don't seem to be playing.

yeah see above. she's nuts. the video i posted above.. the one w/her and lou dobbs.. if you go to youtube and read the comments it's all these people saying she's a hero and "i want to be like her when i grow up" so there's certainly some people who see all this very differently but that's typical and i wouldn't judge chances based on youtube comments but it's a reminder of how out in sync some people are to the these kinds of big talk shows of drama.
