good albums to listen to on long drives

Morning gents,

With the holidays approaching, I've got a few 8 hour + drives to look forward to. All interstate driving, so the scenery will be drab and reminiscent of the origins of America's highway system, so music will have to play a big part. Wanted to ask you nice fellas what albums play well from beginning to end in da car. Fun fun fun on the autobahn, amiright? Here are some that have held me in good stead on da road over da yearz:

Tomorrow's Harvest by BoC

Collected Pieces by Mary Lattimore

1984 by Van Halen

Master of Puppets by Metallica

R Plus Seven by OPN

Quaristice by ae

Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 Cheetah (really like these two together, not sure why)

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx by Raekwon

Tago Mago by Can

You're Dreaming by the Cactus Blossoms

I might just end up putting the playlist that Estragon made of ae mixes on shuffle, or the same with Westside Gunn's discography. Was thinking of giving Volume Massimo a shot as well. Any other suggestions . . . ?

Both DJ Hell -- Zukunftsmusik and Robert Hood -- Motor: Nighttime World 3 are great albums for driving. Also, Sensorama -- Love has always served me well.

Lastly, my secret weapon. This is my favorite DJ mix of all time, and he's said that he's deliberately picked tracks that sound good in a car -- which I can absolutely confirm. I always have the CD in my glove compartment, and it goes everywhere I go. An incredibly well curated and skillfully executed mix that everyone should listen to it once front to back IMO. Very rewarding experience.

Job Jobse -- Groove Mix

Gute Fahrt!

Apparently. One minute he's there, nek minnit ...

Dunno what's the deal though. He was a bit of a turboposter and resurrected a lot of dead threads lately, but I don't think that's an offense, right? The "When Porn goes wrong" thread also vanished around the same time, but I'm not sure if there's a connection. Guess we'll never know ...

Autechre - Amber

Something about the soundscapes on this album I find perfect for driving. Quite possibly another advantage is it's always engaging and interesting but not too technical and complicated, so you can keep a modicum of concentration for the drive and it won't just be a blur in the back of your head.

I'd also say Oversteps.
