I'm old! Leave me alone!

And get on my virtual lawn!

Do you mean “off” your virtual lawn? ?

my Be Up A Hello vinyl sounds really great. Listening now and it's pristine and soothing in the way that vinyl frequency content usually is. really enjoying it. the mastering is different enough in places too. but overall it's a gem and I'm glad i got the vinyl.

Did a few comparisons tonight RE be up & everything, common denominator being hello lol. Found the mixing/mastering to actually be very similar. Lends credence to my ears at least that the story behind be-up is legit.

In my humble opinion this is a good space for TJ, very much looking forward to any new material and it's reassuring to see the arm/wrist breakage didn't fuck up his bass playing.

i don't know when that recent remix was done but pretty clear his playing is fine at the time of that remix.

some really great melody + counter melody type conversation happening in it. and i like the arc of it. it's kind of flawless feeling.

Many months after the release I must say, I don't want to miss Terminal Slam and Detroit People Mover. Usually listening to only those. The Squarepusher badassness in TS does not feel old IMO, I love the drum programming there. I'm totally willing to explode starting at 2:29. Much love for the 1/64 1/128 kick effect and the pad coming in at 3:23. And those high speed cymbals/whatever in that section, so good and flawless.

yeah those are the best tracks on the album for me

Interesting as those are my two least favourite tracks off the album! (If there was a gun to my head). Enjoy them still but there’s something about the levels on terminal slam that kinda bug my ears & I’m not a huge fan of ambientish anything. This says more about me than the album of course.

this has been my fav album of his in a long time, had it on repeat today with my new DAP even!
