Threads you could start but then don't.

I've fantasized for years about starting this thread, so it's almost a perfect example... except that it no longer exists in only my imagination.  This is a thread for all the thread ideas you have that you're too lazy or ashamed to start.

Face Mask Debate thread.

I always wanted to start a thread dedicated to the search of the most ancient drop in music history. Like dubstep drops but in classical music. Never did it because I don't think there are many pieces of music answering those specifications lol

There's probably something close to it... like some Debussy piece with a really quiet section that keeps climbing and climbing, and then BOOM left hand comes in huge, slow and violent.

Didn't thought of Debussy at first but now you say it I wouldn't be surprised !

Definitely some drops in Rachmaninoff pieces but his works are more recent !

Let's talk about what's really going on here.

Also a general tips/revelations/questions thread in the ekt forum.

Most IDM 19XX - 20XX thread wherein WATMM looks at past years since IDM has existed* and nominates then votes for the thing that was the most IDM instead of this hodgepodge current year thing which makes almost zero sense but not in a good way

*IDM has always existed since the dawn of time of course but maybe a good idea to constrain it to relatively recently

When did coronavirus enter your vocabulary thread

In 2017. In Asterix and the Chariot race, that came out that year, the bad guy is called Coronavirus (and his side kick is named Bacillus, btw).

Shit, now I'm thinking of threads I'd actually like to make, but then a part of me's like "oh I should definitely contribute that to the 'threads you could start' thread instead of making the actual thread."

"Hey guys I made this new song and I don't know what genre it is! Can you come and listen, it's like a combination of audio patterns, samples, and time"

"Is it okay if I don't care for the middle section of t69 collapse last few minutes of Xmas Evet?"
