This was a relatively common thing in radical left wing circles around the world at the time, don't think it was ever quite as mainstream as it was in France though. It's well shot and has some good acting, but the story just kind of meandered about and the characters weren't exactly relatable. Aside: I keep calling it Nymphomatriarch.
