Love his music but not kept up with his last couple of releases..He has released so much last couple of years, its all amazing but dense stuff, and dont feel like I've properly got my head round everything yet.

Interested by this new one though and will catch up with the last couple at some point.. find his music suites the autumn  / winter weather so could well be due another binge into it soon!

New Oct 1 is a madness.. prob one of his most discordant and noisy but with amazing crazy sound design.. really enjoyed it on 1st listen but might take a few spins to fully wrap my mind around!

This really opened up for me after couple more listens, strange how at first I more just noticed the noisy bits (but still very much enjoyed it!) But now so many lush beautiful parts shining through as well.

This guy really is a master at making abstract experimental shit which is still really emotionaly engaging.

Yes, he just keeps going and it's all so deep and multifaceted. Picked up the entire discography a few months ago and I'm barely through half of it. One of the best things anyone could spend money on at Bandcamp.

listening to this Wooli Bodin ICASEA Select 33 mix/track/whatever YAPTC_Decode and i probably at some point knew this was Chris Douglas but forgot, just put it on and been enjoying, very same-y but very much not, gets tonally strange (of course) but also dark and beat heavy. odd release, in the best of ways. i don't think it was ever commercially available, so just popped it up on wetransfer in case anyone is interested in grabbing/sharing...most of you likely have this? anyway, it's here for a week or whatever in case not.

Thought he was taking a bit of a break but pleasantly suprised to see he's got a new 1 out and its sounding awesome!

Well recommended for the chilly dark January nights (or why not blast it in summer if you live in Southern hemisphere!) Though do find I personaly appreciate his work much more in the darker days...very much music to play in the dark for me...but the guys a treasure either way!

This is a most excellent release. Glitchy doom drones of epic proportions

Edit

In fact, listening again LOUD I am getting serious Quaristice feels from this

Yeah I'm so excited to see him continuing with new stuff, despite what he seemed to think was going to be a break before. If he keeps putting things out, I'll keep buying it. As others have said, he's certainly one of the most unique producers in the landscape right now.

New Seaes, MD style: https://amhain.bandcamp.com/album/ehdrtla-mwygory-arauf

From Chris, an excerpt:

As it is an archival edition, it will be the proper 4th release as Seaes.

You will find the size to be very intimidating, (never said to or about ever) But i will instruct as is intended to be used.

The other day i remember when the Gescom Mini Di[s]c came out in 1998.

www.discogs.com/Gescom-Minidisc/release/43153

When it come out i was using a MD for recording outside and others, so i had one.
I use to cane that MD all the time on shuffle and repeat everywhere i went.
Each time i a new order, a new experience.

This is how i instruct this to be experienced.
A collection of audio documents from first coming here 2003 till just yesterday 2021.
I hope each time, it gives you new experiences, sensations and memories.
As getting through all this here, that is where i survived and only thrived.

It is Bandcamp Fridays too, so all percentages go directly to the artist.

And still feel like I'm fully exploring the jan and end of last releases! So prolific, but its all so good!!

Erm..has anyone listened to the new Rook Vallade? Cause if not you should! think its my fav of all the rook stuff and seem to remember them getting fair bit of love when the 1st archival releases went up.

Know I'm a bit of a broken record bigging up this guy stuff but this 1 really does feel like a lost classic 90s IDM album, and mad to think he just tossing this out now as a 7th archival release...so fucking good!!

Well, he's difficult to digest at times. Any recommendations for a super dark side of him? I'm especially thinking about:

https://amhain.bandcamp.com/track/laihegaine

Woohoo, dark. Love this track so much. Not surprisingly I love Murcofs Urano.

As for C. Douglas: good old SDSS had even real beats, I still like it, if he thinks it's cheesy from todays perspective? ?

Maybe some specific track recommendations, thx.

Gescom MD, I bought two, I think I still have one. I Asked someone to record it on tape back then because I had no md player myself. Was a rare thing and after all no success.
