I really liked Move of Ten when it first came out but bored quickly of it and have remained pretty lukewarm over the years. I'm very into it right now, though. The opening track doesn't really grab me, but I'm pretty captivated throughout the rest. It's also interesting to be reminded of how much Oversteps DNA runs through it – some of it not particularly obvious – and yet it feels almost more like a proto-Exai to me despite its sister-city sort of relationship to its preceding album.

I used to dislike Incunabula for quite a long time, being incredibly unfair and not fully respecting that, well, evolution takes time. I first heard Autechre almost 19 years ago now, I think? But within the past two or three years, I think I've grown to like it more than Amber which came after it, more than most other "first generation" iddumz made by people on the Artificial Intelligence series, love how distinct it is from most rave adjacent tuneage from 1993, and just dig it immensely as its own soundworld like any other Ae-lbum.

I found this short video breakdown quite helpful in understanding Ae's percussion just a little bit more. I mean, I knew it wasn't just random, but this guy articulates and demonstrates an example fairly well, combing two common-ish rhythms with some variation to get some classic Untilted-era beats.
