Incredible album. XMAS continues to be his absolute pinnacle IMO. Also, because he's cleared his desk, I'm really excited to see/hear where he goes next... he seems re-energised about releasing stuff.

I feel like a fucking idiot for not noticing " 'sall good, man" Really enjoying this. It's slower, but I think it's better for it. They've really made the fact that you know what happens to Saul and Mike (a long way down the line) makes the show even more interesting. It doesn't detract.

The thing about The Day Today and Brass Eye is that every time I re-watch it I expect it to be dated (TDT is 20 years old FFS) and yet it's as relevant as ever! Better Call Saul Ep 1 - pretty good! Broadchurch Season 2 - Utter shite Fortitude - jury is currently out.

For real? That kinda sucks to hear but I believe it. I recently read an interview with Mike and he said when he first submitted his work to Richard he said something along the lines of "Yeah, it sounds ok. But it's all b-sides. You have to make some a-sides, ok?" Brutal. Definitely brutal, but with all due respect to Mike (someone who's music I like but never loved), it's a pretty good way to summarise AFX vs Mu-Ziq Yeah, I mostly agree with that sentiment though I do believe that he has improved and more than earned his acclaim. I guess the reverse is true for Mike with regards to building a label and promoting artists, however. Yeah definitely. What Mike has done with Planet Mu is fantastic and he's really unique when it comes to running a successful electronic music label.
