Yes Iโm aware similar threads have been started and exist. I felt like starting a new one since itโs been a while and times are tough lately so lay off! Jk Whatโs your current favorite all time BoC track? Itโs allowed to change from time to time hence the new thread. In the past Iโve always had a hard time not saying 5-9-78. Honestly, and I know the album itโs on is divisive, I think Tears From The Compound Eye might be the most beautiful piece they've ever done and right now itโs the track I need. Itโs psychedelic, comforting, serene, and nostalgic all at the same time. The times feel literally like Tomorrows Harvest but I could honestly use another TCH-es…

This album just came out a few weeks ago and it is one of the best things Iโve heard in ages. Itโs definitely an ode to 90s era Warp and is HEAVILY influenced by boc. Check it.

I was thinking about the name โTurquoise Hexagon Sunโ and how itโs cool but also wondering about it, how they came up with it. They used this to describe their โgroupโ or โbunkerโ in early interviews after MHTRTC came out so itโs been around as more than a track title from very early on. Then I thought THS probably stands for something else originally (maybe the H is for Chris Horne, the S is for Sandison?). Then I thought about how T and H appear throughout their album titles: MHTRTC, [geogaddi doesnโt fit], TCH, TH. They also have the Trans Canada Highway ep, as well as High Scores. This is simply something I am pondering please do not come into this thr…

Yep, one of these posts. I discovered this book (and its accompanying LP!) through diving deep into Venezuelan electronic and proggy type music over the years. I've yet to see the actual documentary, but hope to some day. The book and documentary journal a hot air ballon journey in and around Venezuela. I've always gotten major BOC vibes from the book - it's just fun to look at and dream. Here's a link to the soundtrack. I uploaded some sips to YouTube awhile back - the music, composed by Randy Walters, does not remind me of BOC. https://www.discogs.com/release/11264412-Randy-Walters-Desde-El-Mar-De-Las-Alturas About the score: "Vencerรกmica promotion/sponsorshi…

Title says it all. Hoping good enough to print poster-size, if that's at all possible.

https://www.stereogum.com/2175272/boards-of-canada-geogaddi-turns-20/reviews/the-anniversary/ I love you Geogaddi, you beautiful sonofa.... Life changing album and that's not hyperbole. It literally changed me. Telephasic Workshop was the track that piqued my interest, but Geogaddi was the album that ultimately sucked me in. Hearing "You Could Feel The Sky" while driving through the Minnesota northwoods was a trancendant moment.

I just started listening to binaural beats as they scientifically increase focus during work and by this noticed how similar it sounds to boc even so its not a real "song". Do you think they knew about this or did it happen by accident?

Would be a very interesting idea no? @mdg Maybe every music artist should provide this service. I'm sure Google would be interested. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐โค๏ธ๐โ๐ซ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฅ= Every animal on earth is a: Every plant on Earth is a: This video is a microcosm of our brains. The bird is the semi-dormant right brain. And the Owl the awoken left brain. If we all collectively stop sleeping (only sleep when we need to sleep). The owl will fly to the bird and cut the rope loose. And we both can fly away together into infinity and beyond. obviously Jesus and Mohammad did this and…

I found this interesting. If it's a hoax old BOC album kudos to whoever made it. There is a version of Boqurant at 14:20. It could easily be a cover or maybe even just pitched down but this is a fun listen regardless.
