  1.

Has everyone who's seeing currently something different to the UK timer done a hard reset on their browser to acount for the code change which added the timezone in?

I just tried from a completely different computer and it's still showing around 7 hours for me (EST)

Bad luck bruh, we'll describe the beats to you in a new thread when it drops.

how much longer in the UK?

  2. The Little Friend by Donna Tartt

I love everything I have read by this woman (which so far is The Secret History and half of this one)

She seems to put out a book every ten years unfortunately :( (1992,2002,2013)

I read the Secret History just before coming to University, it's a pretty sweet book.

  3. Anyone else noticed that the swirly synth riff ("twiddlydiddly bleep bleep bloop bloop") repeated a lot in CIRCLONT6A is also used in the title track? I think there's actually a few more repeated motifs like this across the album which I've noticed - some of them must be more subliminal (ie. on a key/scale/pattern level) because I can't direct pick them out like the swirly riff, I can just feel them somehow.

"It can be quite impenetrable for most people, because you can't latch on to something. It sounds quite random at first.... But there is a method. People just have to take time to work it out."

I reckon there's a lot of things embedded into Syro that make it gel so well as an album. It wouldn't surprise me if every single song is linked together thematically in some bizarre and crazy way. Feel free to speculate! (or flame me if you think I'm talking rubbish).

I'm going to do some in-depth listening to the title track because as was said somewhere in this monster thread, it's rare he makes one. Maybe Syro u473t8+e contains an element from every other song? (Justifying its position as the title track). There's also got to be a reason he included Fz pseudotimestretch. Again, it feels strangely necessary to the album on some subconscious level.

Anyway, 'nuff rambling. Let me know what you think Watmm!

Elements of gz pseudotimestretch seem to be littered around syro and the Circlont tracks. Utterly sublime. I totally agree, it has a lot of things linking the tracks together

  4. Already I've achieved more at work this morning than the rest of this week put together. DLed FLAC leak this morning. Listened to a snippet of PAPAT to get my thighs moistened for the day.

Now cleared my mind completely knowing that tonight I will listen to the whole thing in all it's glory (as much as is possible on a set of ancient Technics cabs), with a spliff the size of my boner.

This leak works well for me. When my 'legal' versions arrive, I'll have a cd, a set of mp3s AND a set of FLACs.

    Fanku Afecks.

I think it might be salient to remind folks:

    • Richard has told a few porky pies (exaggerated truths) in interviews before - no reason for him to stop now. It's a game.
    • Don't believe everything you read or hear - I find the truth is somewhere in between usually, and eventually finds it's way to the surface.

That ought to be sufficient stirring to keep this thread alive 'till Friday.

    Read the rules, mate.

    Yay! I belong!
