Guys, i think the new countdown is for a new album. If you consider it from Japanese time, it ends at midnight of July 7, which is a Friday... So I'm guessing it's a new release.

Hi all, this is a project I send updates to on the subreddit, but I figured I'd post it here too for anyone who might not be aware of it! Over the past few years, I've slowly compiled all the DJ sets that Aphex Twin has played that we have footage for in a giant spreadsheet, and I've been trying to find any unidentified track he's played. I've been able to net a bunch of tracks that were previously unknown in setlists from 2023 all the way back to the mid 90s, but especially from 2017-2019. It started from my curiosity in trying to find a track he played in his 2017 Field Day set, and that one has yet to be found despite being played over 10 times since 2009. I'…

With Rhubarb Orc. 19.53 Rev now being a proper track on the SAW 2 Expanded Edition, this is a thing I've meant to write for ages explaining what this track is from and why the forward version of it is (arguably) one of the best things RDJ has done. I'm in mini journalist mode here, pulling info together from various places. You're welcome. Firstly: The Remote Orchestra in 2011/2012 RDJ was working on a Remote Orchestra concept, first for some interpretations of some Krzysztof Penderecki pieces for a gig in Poland, and then at the Barbican in London. The idea was: a 48-piece orchestra and a 24 person choir are all wearing wireless headphones. From a s…

lol holy WTF how did I miss out on this for so many years? Recently grabbed the tracks from the bleepstore. . . Jesus this is so friggin good. You can hear shades of Analord, Drukqs, CTD and also things that link to Syro (some of the funkier FM bass stuff) and maybe even some stuff on Collapse. Redonkulous.

Since the other thread has grown to 20+ pages at the time of this posting, I think it's a good idea to post a general "what's going on" FAQ to let everybody know what the status of the project is. I'll add to this as I have the time and address as many questions as possible. So, without further adieu: The Kickstarter is LIVE NOW! Click Here! 9/4/2014 @ 1:30CST: Huge news! We're lifting the number of contributor restrictions so anyone who wants it will be able to purchase it! More money for charity! More money for Richard/Rephlex! More money for the seller! What's this all about? What's "The Caustic Window LP"? How is WATMM releasing Richard's music? Is the wor…

Bandcamp Whilst digging in his DAT archive (allegedly stored in an airtight military ammo box), Richard James revisited the recordings, encoding them through a Nakamichi CR7e cassette deck, using the customised deck with vari-speed to encode at speeds “felt right at the time”. Alongside these CR7e versions, the original mixes have been remastered by Beau Thomas at Ten Eight Seven Mastering, offering a dilated insight into one of electronic music’s most endearing releases.

Hey All! I had this vision for a while and finally made this thing. I've attached the file so people can download and print it out or whatever. I'm not much of a capitalist so that's why haven't put it on etsy or whatever (plus I obviously down't have the rights to do so). Maybe I'll try to get a custom plastic one made, we'll see. Feel free to rip and share. ALSO, If you end up getting a decal or plastic sign made, please share pics and how you did it.

Happy Avril 14th! I’ve created an imaginary album to celebrate. 14 versions, with printable art and some terrible mastering, while we wait for Warp to announce a SAWII repress... Pics here, artwork here, tracks here. Give it a listen: repeating the song in this way over and over means it starts to function like a kind of ambient background texture but the variations in approaches stop your ears completely filtering it out. Obviously this has had no involvement or endorsement from Rich. There’s nothing here that’s commercially available. You should support the artists with the links below. Anyone have additional info about the video posted years ago of the Yamaha RA-200 playing a portion of, what I recall to be, Last Rushup 10? Sprung to mind recently and never knew if anything was made public. Curious about its legitimacy or source.

Just had the opportunity to take a look at the binder in person and while I really love the analord collection the faux leather binder looks so cheap and greasy it boggles my mind how this thing goes for hundreds on discogs not even featuring the whole collection. Not recommended

That's twenty-five years. JFC. I will celebrate by sticking my merch umbrella up my bum-bum and firmly pulling the trigger. How do you commemorate this quadranscentennial anniversary?
