I have a plot at my workplace, which is in a pretty rural area. There are about 25 plots fenced in to keep the damn deer out.
This is the fourth year that the Mrs and I have had the plot. We usually grow all kinds of tomatoes, some zucchini, cucumbers, carrots, beets, green beans, jalapenos, basil, cilantro, and some misc flowers. It's strange because everybody's squash plants produce like hell for about 3 weeks, then they all just wither and die quickly. Someone told me that it's due to some bug or disease (can't remember) that gets into the roots. Tried to grow watermelons one year but the squash bug killed them all when they were about the size of softballs.
My workplace is mostly closed right now, so nobody's supposed to be in the garden, but we planted some garlic and onions during the winter and have some tomato plants that we've been growing indoors that we'll transfer to the plot soon. Not sure what else we'll plant this year, but I'm not planting yet because as I'm typing this we just had a small snow squall.
Curious if you have any tips for planting carrots. I keep trying to grow them by seed every year but haven't had any luck.
Also I feel you on that snow squall - happening here too. But I live in Canada so I guess that's somewhat not surprising. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I already worked from home too - so the only big difference for me is having my kid at home full time since schools are closed. And now instead of leaving the house once a week for groceries, I go once every two weeks instead to space it out. So I feel pretty lucky/grateful - I know it's been a pretty big adjustment for a lot of folks.

That's pretty cool. I think the sets we had (and by we I mean my brother had the sets who you'd have to ask for special permission to even go near) were space related too.
I don't think I've seen the Technic until now - it looks awesome though.

Ok maybe Randomsummer's post above answers my question but I still wanted to see what others thought too - did you all have a ton of Lego kits as a kid?
I think we had a few, but we mainly had a huge bucket of just blocks and we had to build our own stuff out of them. Maybe I'm just getting old but it feels like the "kids these days" only get kits but don't play a ton with them. I need to know if I'm wrong - LOL. Thoughts?

Saturday is pizza night in our house. It's the only reference point I have for knowing what day it is lately.

Timothée Chalamet is fast becoming one of my favorite actors - he was fantastic in "The King" and "Little Women" - so I'm excited to see he's in this too.

Yes.
Their Christmas album is the BEST. And of course this:

Made my way through half of a Costco bag of organic dried mangoes in just a few days... The amount of time I have to spend chewing them seems to sooth the quarantine anxiety... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Saw this recently as well. Topanga is where all the manson family stuff happened.
There's some weird occult ritual stuff in music videos sometimes...

sometimes i get the sense that most successful bands & musicians could have been cult leaders if they had really got their shit together at just the right moment in their career trajectory
don't you want devoted followers watmm
hence the term "cult following"
Some people are starting to say that’s what’s happening to Jared Leto
There are a bunch of videos and merch from 30 seconds to mars that say “yes, this is a cult”, and their fans call themselves “the echelon” and family.
I thought maybe they're just making fun of the idea but now I'm not sure

You speak my language. Maybe have some avocado coffee sometime?
Amazing.
I did try an avocado cake once as well... which this would go well with. And also avocado chocolate pudding. I guess I've had a lot of these avocado adventures?

Sorry friends... I had to make that confession somewhere - I've been holding onto it for like 10 years... so I figured this was the place.
Can I make up for it by offering the suggestion of putting filling inside a grilled cheese? Specifically tomatoes, or hot peppers or green olives....
Because that is pretty tasty and is definitely something you can eat while you wait for this to be over and can have pizza and it will be awesome.

Pizza confession: I've had avocado on pizza. It was very odd but also kind of good. I somehow feel like it breaks some kind of pizza law though maybe?

Just started the Netflix series, "The English Game" about the invention of football/soccer. I'm only a few episodes in and I'm not sure how historically accurate it is but I really like it so far.

I feel a bit predictable being a Canadian and posting this documentary but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
