  1. Might just be me but I'm struggling to find the details in this supposed Lanner documentary that distinguish it as something more special than just a fan putting a documentary together on their own, without any specific collaboration with Aphex Twin. Are there any details about what's on the vinyl, even? Who's to say they're not just soundcloud tracks that are already released that the documentary maker put together? I'm not understanding the hype.

(not saying that it's not worth being interested in - it's cool that a documentary's being made, but I think some fans are seeing things that aren't there)

  2. Someone found that AFX played Exidy by Ceephax Acid Crew at Enmore Theatre in 2012, with Technical Itch - Viking and (allegedly) Soundmurderer - Lickshot following.

Also, I found a clip of the tail end of Mosaic 2011. Turns out that Macc - Panic Kills plays before Death Fuck.

It's encouraging that an unfamiliar face decided to help out on the spreadsheet with the Enmore gig! I'm trying to think of ways to attract more people to this project.

  3. Hi all, this is a project I send updates to on the subreddit, but I figured I'd post it here too for anyone who might not be aware of it!

Over the past few years, I've slowly compiled all the DJ sets that Aphex Twin has played that we have footage for in a giant spreadsheet, and I've been trying to find any unidentified track he's played. I've been able to net a bunch of tracks that were previously unknown in setlists from 2023 all the way back to the mid 90s, but especially from 2017-2019. It started from my curiosity in trying to find a track he played in his 2017 Field Day set, and that one has yet to be found despite being played over 10 times since 2009.

I've been posting batches of tracks that I and others in the fan community have found every few months on Reddit, but I figured a thread here would allow for people to respond and get involved as they wish, in real time, without having to feel like it's clogging the Reddit post feed.

Below is the most recent round of tracks that have been discovered, and here's where you can access all the Reddit updates I've published. The spreadsheet is set up so that you can comment in spots that you think might have been identified, or you can, of course, use this thread to discuss the tracks too!

Busta Rhymes - Light Your Ass On Fire (Instrumental) (Big Day Out '04)

Crash Course In Science - Flying Turns (Big Day Out '04)

BFC - Galaxy (Big Day Out '04)

    Aphex Twin - Arp 2500 - Modules 1004 P,1004 T,1016 [Brain Floss Mix] (Melt! '06)

DZ's Pump Girls - Pump It Up (ATP Nightmare '07)

Mundo Muzique - Welcome (Primavera '09)

Unique 3 - Rude 'Bout The Place (Primavera '09)

KAVARI - Luminescence (Bleed Mix) (Best Kept Secret '23)

Aquestion - おいアホ(GoldenEggs kick edit) (Best Kept Secret '23)

DJ SMILEY BOBBY - Drum Exercise For Sound System (90-110 bpm mix) (Villafranca '23)

Also of note: the ID currently known as "09PRIpercussion-beat" was found, unidentified, in a mix by O/V/R (Regis & James Ruskin) mix from 2005.

  4. Re-uploaded Dour 2023; went back and re-edited the base audio provided by u/ivoiiovi, plus added some higher-quality snippets from various YT videos, so some parts should sound especially spruced-up

Still no word about the alleged second recording from someone else at the gig that might (hopefully) be higher-quality than this, hopefully it appears somewhere soon!

Trying to find where afx played this, do you have a timestamp?
    Edit: nvm, found it!

Also, yeah tbh I was glad I didn't stick around for the premiere of the NTS video. Volume's too low, effectively sounds like mono to me, and the visuals really suffered from what I assumed is the boosted resolution needed to cover the full 360 video. Reading the replies here sounds like others shared similar frustrations. I'm gonna try downloading the audio to see what comes of it, but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the audio was just a mono output that's aimed in one direction, because that what it more or less sounds like to me. Kinda underwhelming for it being advertised as "spatial audio".

I'm afraid this is one of the gigs no one ever recorded and this audio clip is mistakenly taken from Osmoze 93' and that's it.

    Good information to have, thanks!

I'd love to dig, but I'm still having trouble with downloading files; they're still coming in at 0 bytes.

  7. Yes, if it needs clarifying, I'm talking about WATMM downloads. Any help would be appreciated.

Are moderators or people in charge of this site around often? Is it worth messaging one about this? I'm assuming this isn't a problem that hasn't been mentioned before, if I'm not the only one having problems and I just got here.

  8. Hey, does anyone know anything about this gig? I know there's the one clip floating around where AFX - .942937 is played, but there seems to be no indication of whether this was a live gig or a DJ set, or what exactly "Live Time" means. Any additional information would be extremely helpful.

(Also, hi WATMM! Nice to see y'all and to be here. Can anyone help me with using the downloads? Every time I try to download something, it comes in at 0 bytes)
