Guest Sprigg Posted August 7, 2010 Share Posted August 7, 2010 I'v been diggin' a lot of old-school games lately, and having gotten bored with Super Metroid's normal game, I've been trying for three days now to get the 'Super Metroid Redesign' hack to work, and no go. I've downloaded both hack and rom from various sites. I apply the hack via Lips successfully, but it just crashes when I load the hacked ROM files. If I run it on snes9x, it just gives me a funny little scrambly rainbow color thing where the 'nintendo' symbol should be and sits there, with a 'bad checksum' message displayed in the big block of otherwise uninterpretable text on the bottom of the screen. If I load it with zsnes, it just crashes and freezes my compy. I'm running Vista.. I've tried compatibility mode for XP, re-downloading and re-patching the files, re-downloading the emulators... and nothing. Any tips? I have gotten the Dr Mario World hack for super mario world to work just fine... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
