At the same time though, there are only so many chord progressions out there. Things are bound to overlap

these are two of his most famous pieces, and I am not trying to be rude, but your song is just too close to not sound like an inferior version of this

Yes, if you're going to use the very most basic major and minor chords in an uncreative fashion, but there are pretty much infinite possibilities if you approach piano with an open mind

I think if he took the melody and instrumentation elsewhere, it could have its own thing going on that could stand on its own.
