I think i remember dave getting signed to mu at one point. if anyone remembers the mu forum (rip) , signed artists to mu, used to be in orange if they had a forum account, and people assumed he was gona have his first release on there but then the rephlex download shop opened and volume 1 was released

It simply means I like the track - I don't dislike something just because it's a fake or whatnot... good music is good music, regardless of the intentions behind it.

With the promo really getting going it seems like aphex is just keeping it relatively on par in a promo sense with other warp style promotion. Never know might even get to hear a track before the full release :P

Like this of course it's not a real syro track, i really like it's take on a caustic style tho , need more stuff like that

it amazes me that some people are annoyed these live tracks are on there because they have already heard them, even if the tracks havent changed much they are still going sound so much better in proper quality and all of them are as lush as fuck!
I'm not annoyed that these tracks are on the new release. I just don't want them to be the best tracks on it seeing as I've listened to them forever & thus will lack any major surprise. I wanted 100% surprise for purely selfish reasons. I would agree that the mixes are probably different to some degree & will undoubtedly sound a million times better. I'm hoping Joyrex's foreshadowing implies he's heard Syro somehow & the tracks we haven't heard are beyond the tracks already discussed. But, seeing as Rich has played those tracks in the past to an audience, I would venture to think those are the ones he feels are "best" & what is on the album may be less than.
In any case, we have 2 more albums to look forward to after Syro.
If you were a true fanboy you would never question the quality of an afx record. You're cured, go forth and enjoy all other musics there upon you....
naaaah sorry just kidding, it's gona be top notch plus those dj tracks, richie wont let you down

dunno if anyone has already said this or pointed out that minipops (source feild mix) has korg mini pops in the track so logic would lend itself to being the manc track , also tempo

The stickers were nice n all but the lame info sticker on the back of the cd cover is just a bit shit. Mines not even put on straight, completely wonk. They could of made more effort with that, unless the idea is the peel it away to leave it completely blank . Bit cheap that side of it.

Well I know my speakers and I'd much rather listen to it on them than say the car...I feel the opposite with the car speakers, sounds too harshAlthough I find this album really good, listening on good monitors and headphones I find a lot of parts dynamically flat and really not that massive spacially, needs to be a bit fatter, rounder, more room inside of each sound, if it had that it really would be a truly amazing listen.
Pro tip - don't listen to records on monitors.
Just all a matter of perception/opinion I guess

I really enjoyed this, and will listen again quite a few more times i'm sure but i can't help but think that if some unknown artist released this on a netlabel people would wank over it so much? probably not. The name unfortunately carries the music to some extent
