  1. Got it. First impressions: it's a Nanoloop alright, its workflow was quite familiar. The FM engine sounds surprisingly good and deep, too. I feel the volume is a little low but that can be fixed easily. There's some missing functions that will be implemented in future updates, so all's good. GREAT minimalistic, creative tool and cool machine just to fuck around.

I still get confused when people have to have that OG sound. It's about having fun isn't it? Like I'd love to have a RE-303 but at the same time I don't have the money for it, especially not at the moment. So I can either convince myself I need a RE unit.. or have fun adjusting my behringer 303's VCF, playing with the sequencer, making wholesome acid arrangements.. and at that point I'd wager I'm having more fun than a lot of people chasing the original hardware

When people say the want "analogue sound", what they mean most of the time is that they want pitch modulation or a tape delay and reverb on their monosynth. On topic, the SH01a offers polyphony and a better (?) sequencer than the MS-1, but for the price, the MS-1 is hard to beat.

  3. Making my Analog Rytm, Analog Four, Digitone and Tracker work together in sweet harmony is enough to keep my GAS levels very low... at least for the time being lol. That said, from time to time I lust after the Nord Modular G1, anyone has some thoughts to share about it?

A little project I've been working on in between writing my own stuff.

I've always been fascinated with SAW 85-92 and how it was created, as there's not a whole lot of info about it on the internet.

I thought it would be a fun challenge to try to recreate some of the tracks to maybe find out myself, through trial an error, how some of it was made.

Impressive! Now I need that Valhalla verb too lol
