  1.

I also recently saw Autopsy of Jane Doe – late, but one of the better horror films I've seen in the past few years.

    nope.

Why? It's not the best but it's not bad at all. It falters a bit towards the end but as a whole it's an effective horror flick.

Especially how it takes place in a creepy ass claustrophobic setting, the mystery of unravelling the dead body and how it got progressively creepier.

Also watched it without any knowledge about the film/hype (unlike Hereditary) managed my expectations a bit. It's a 7/10 for me.

  2. Just saw Hereditary and I put it (almost) on par with Get Out. Both well made with a refreshing take on old horror tropes.

That scene in Hereditary in the first act had me cupping my mouth in shock. Plus, Toni Collette's performance is riveting.

funeral smiler and low light doorway smiler being one and same is a detail everyone I've spoken to about the film has identified, even non arty farty types.

    Yea, both of these.

again, can someone who has seen it go back to my earlier post with the spoiler and give your take?

    @olo About your earlier post:

Her expression looked like sheer terror to me. On the Ari Aster AMA, he said it was based on 'the concept of a mother so destroyed by what happened to her child that she has to do it to herself'. Seems like the director intended for her to know what was happening yet completely helpless, like you said.

what the fuck is up with all these gay and transsexual people skullfucking me with the most awesome electronic music lately

i mean listen to arca, yves tumor or sophie, they are on top of the game right now

and i can't stop playing this album, the over the top cheese parts hurt but in a sweet good ol caveman black metal noise way (not in a babylon way, sorry opn) but i want mooore, pliss sophie drop another ep this year

Went to a Arca concert. It was one of the best live show I've had the pleasure of witnessing. I think at one point he was on stilts with a whip, serenading us with the most beautiful yowls I've heard from a human. Only thing I would have done without was the fisting video he played near the end. But I guess that was his way of desensitizing the crowd? He finished with a guitar..  show was weird, crazy, awesome.

Will delve into Yves Tumor next.

Caught Yves Tumor at Primavera. Abrasive AF – 40% white noise over multiple Bower Wilkins speakers.

Enjoyed looking at all the confused faces tho.

Arca at Primavera was super eclectic and somewhat random. Enjoyed the banter altho it was mostly in Spanish.

Good vibes. But wouldve loved to see the fisting lol

  4. Yeah, Babylon can go to hell.  It's always neat when watmm can collectively agree on something.  The rest of the album is quite excellent, and Black Snow was the right choice as a single.

Hello! Long-time lurker, new member. For my inaugural post on this forum, I would like to second this.

    No Babylon please, thanks
