I posted about this a few days ago, but it got lost in the shuffle (it was posted in the clamor of battle), but could some one identify this track?

As far as I can tell, it's an unreleased AFX track played live at some point that's quite good. But maybe I'm mistaken.
It's this:
-
Mike & Rich was liked by both of us, we both wanted to release it, as I recall we were both pretty pleased with it. It has a sort of demented vibe each of our solo music doesn't have.
Recorded in mid 94 during the World Cup. We weren't pissed all the time, I find it hard to write music like that, but we did get drunk a few times, hard to remember now. And acid was involved but not on it all the time or anything.
I think it was simply a matter of release schedule queues and cash flow why it took until 96 to come out.
-
what i mean is all the non-spotlight tracks say "this track has no comments" when i click on it. And they don't have a comments button. But you can still leave a comment. maybe my internet is playing up.
-
Is he disabling all the comments?
-
If anyone thinks a particular track needs mastering, pm me and describe the issue with the track.
-
Where's that beat on "how much I wanted you" that breaks in briefly from? Start as you mean to go on? Also reminds me of that track off "feed me weird things"

This has been answered earlier in the thread:
Come On You Slags

I don't think any of the others needed it tbh. I just did it because those 2 were too loud and too quiet.
-
Here are a couple of files I remastered for you all. A louder sounding version of bellbrk with the loud subs made a bit more managable, and utopia with the low mids softened and those hi-freq fm sounds less harsh.
bellbrk (limited/compressed): https://www.dropbox.com/s/z5oeo6phip6mwt8/bellbrk%20%28limited%29.mp3?dl=0
utopia (EQ): https://www.dropbox.com/s/25tniohmlvcb4t0/8%20utopia%20%28EQ%29.mp3?dl=0

Hearing them loud in a car brings another dimension too. ep string sounded great. The groove emerges from stuff like squalitude acid and phuqed
He did say they were Unmastered.

Some of these tracks are amazing. I really want to thank Richard for letting us download them. It's made me feel 17 again.
No one has mentioned Glockenspiel which has acid made with the dx100 glok sound by adding portamento (before he owned a 303). Pump that shit is pure funk - check the drum fill. Lots of the old tape ones are amazing and show his journey as a musician. P.e is such a trip -polygon window sounding as is catsquidge2. Afx theme shows how early he evolved his melodic style. Bcr78 reminds me of gak but at a slower tempo. I think I remember hearing it once in 94.
There are at least as many which he hasn't yet uploaded. Don't know if this means he will put them up or not. There was Woo Disco - another proto hardcore one with mental woo sample riff; an earlier drum machine version of Xtal and many more.
It's great hearing drum patterns used in different contexts and sounds you recognise from other tracks.

Got a 6 hour drive today - just burned 7 cds of afx for the car

Hey do you all like this track from 1992?
It's the first track that i'm aware of to sample afx....
Whoa...somewhere help me out here. What AFX is this sampling?? Because the beat sounds likes it's sampled from Tom Jenkinson - Vogon & I (Sorry, no YouTube video), except that didn't come out until 1996... I swear it sounds almost identical.
Unless both songs sampled some old AFX that I'm just blanking on.
It's the iconic drum hits from Isopropophlex and Phloam, he's just made a new rhythm with them

yes lovely, are you on the pads bamb?
It's Joey Beltram
check this one from the same ep - fits quite well with the early afx vibe we've been enjoying this last week:

Here's another tape cover he posted
So a bit unrelated but a gem nonetheless, for the people who missed it - Very old tapes made by Aphex for Manuel Sepulveda:
edit: notice the two tracks mentioning 'AFX + TOM' - meaning Tom Middleton. -
There's only one Dixon's theft track - the longer one is someone's corrupted mp3
-
I've got 112 tracks from http://104.236.16.63/ , maybe there's a duplicate there
Yes, Looks like Moodular acid and Pissflaps mix are the same track
-
No, 111 tracks

Re: Dixon's Theft (4:52 mix)
Actually it just sounds like it's a corrupted mp3 - it just skips back at 3:55 and repeats that section.
-
Thanks for that Dixons Theft 4:52 version - I got it about 5 minutes after he upped it and only had the 4:30 one. I've compared them and he's edited a few bars out of the last section, otherwise it's the same mix.
-
Has anyone else noticed Quoth dustbin sample in Mental Telepathy?
-
orig was Dixons Theft -moooow
replaced by Moooow [Dixon's Theft Mix]
track 33
the difference seems to be LITERALLY 30secs (longer outtro? one or two extra loops?)
I downloaded both and they're the same track -same length. 4:30

bicycle wheel is one of my favourites so far, love the jazzy feel - almost remind me of a much better version of Lisa Carbon Trio (Atom Heart)
