I don't normally post here cos I seem to just end threads with my pointless comments, but I feel the urge to say that I tuned into the four tet remix, and i found it terrible. After some uninteresting ambience, eventually the piano line creeped in, and I thought 'ooh this might get interesting.' Then the track 'sticky drama' starts playing through, seemingly unremixed. After that some clanky percussion?? Then another bout of silence, then a noise for about ten seconds, then finished. FACT mag is all like 'is the silence a cage reference!?' Pfffft. Really now. Basically nothing happened for an hour.
I think four tet posted on his twitter that the actual remix was 'almost an hour long'Reckon there was a miscommunication between Four Tet's PR team and the press - Was probably mentioned something like 'it'll be an extended remix of the track played every hour' and that got Chinese whispere to 'OMG an hour long mix !'

are all british women this cringe worthy? holy shit
all the voices i'm hearing so far even on the commercials sound like characters from Attack of he Block
It's a South London accent you stereotyping bitch, not all English women sound like fucking...Fiona Bruce. We may be a tiny island compared to the USA but there ARE regional accents here.
lol, fair enough. It sounded beyond a regional accent though and sort of embellished, am I wrong? And of course i know ALL british women aren't as cringe worthy as the DJ
Are you talking about Julie, the girl who was on before Four Tet? She sounds pretty standard for a South London gal I guess...I guess for the ads it's slightly exaggerated but it has to give off that London thing, cos Rinse is all about London innit? i feel a bit bad for calling you a bitch now

I enjoyed Four Tet's mix, he played some lovely tunes. There was a really nice one after that Joy Orbison track, with the vocals? Or it might have still been the Joy Orbison track but it changed up quite a bit, not sure. Anyone know?
BTW it's all your fault I'm still talking about Four Tet for thinking he'd play an Autechre track on Rinse FM at 7pm (peak listening times probably) when he has no affiliation to Warp Records! It's all love though guys
(*doesn't feel the need to mention his excitement for Exai)

Songs About My Cats is his best in my opinion...Venetian Snares in a good mood...it's funny, noisy, crazy, silly and pretty at the same time. One of my all time favourites. How good is this??
Doll Doll Doll is a close second. Even though it disgusts me...I'm not so much a fan of of his amen rinsing material, although it's fun if you're in the mood.
Eps - Horse and Goat and Salt
I have to say I think Cubist Reggae is pretty good though.

Thrust by Herbie Hancock which is my favourite Herbie Hancock release...Headhunter is awesome too.
Bitches Brew - Only Miles Davis I have but it's wonderful...
Sun Ra - Jazz in Silhouette - Amaaaazing, please check it out
