  1. Deus Ex Nihilum

Fan mod alternative world DX where you are the first nano aug'd UNATCO agent, you get sent to hong kong to investigate a terrorist attack (false flag!!!!)

Really in the spirit of DX, interesting maps, lots of exploration, some new items and weapons.

Even the quality of the voice acting matches the original perfectly

  2. I agree.

I'd like to see someone tackle a Gibson book (Neuromancer would have been nice. Pattern Recognition or Zero History would make entertaining movies and wouldn't be too difficult to pull off as they are set closer to the present)

    Snow Crash

    The Foundation trilogy

Oh if only the chris cunningham adaption of neuromancer happened, gibson was quoted saying that he was the only person that could accomplish such a task

  3. Scott has revealed the opening scene from the film. Not really a spoiler since it hasn't filmed yet.

"There'll be a vast farmland where there are no hedges or anything in sight, and it's flat like the plains of — where's the Great Plains in America? Kansas, where you can see for miles. And it's dirt, but it's being raked. On the horizon is a combine harvester which is futuristic with klieg lights, 'cause it's dawn. The harvester is as big as six houses. In the foreground is a small white clapboard hut with a porch as if it was from Grapes of Wrath. From the right comes a car, coming in about six feet off the ground being chased by a dog. And that's the end of it, I'm not gonna tell you anything else".

    Wait, what?

    Source?

That sounds very similar the original opening scene described in the original draft blade runner screenplay. I'll have to rewatch dangerous days, but I'm sure that is mentioned?

  4. ha, just started Neuromancer after finishing "flow my tears, the policeman said"

    Been on PKD binge.

So many books, so little time, I need to take about 2 months off to clear my backlog of unread books, unlisted new music and un watched films
