Keep getting so close to beating mum's heart in BOI 1 but can't quite finish the bastard!

The gf is away for 3 weeks with her mum, a 2.5 hour drive. I said that I could pop out next weekend cause b&bs are cheap and that wouldn't make her mum uncomfortable, cause for some reason she is funny about it.
But, the gf's best friend is also going to visit that weekend and she doesn't think she'll like me being there too, although we get on and everything. So looks like I'm not going. Can't help but think the friend is being a cunt.

Goliath - Quite enjoying it, over halfway through series 1. I do like Billy Bob Thornton anyway, but he is the best character in this which I guess isn't unexpected. Surprised to see there's a second season, can't quite see where it'll go but I'll wait and find out.

Has anyone watched Afterlife yet? The Ricky Gervais series that's apparently a bit like Derek but so much better, and I loved Derek. Gonna try and start watching this weekend.

Late to the Walking Dead party but I'm quite enjoying it after avoiding it this whole time cause I thought it would be too childish. Never really found the fascination with zombies.

Stan and Ollie - gave a good I sight into the later career of the pair. I thought both characters were played really well. Worth a watch, especially if you're a.fan of laurel and Hardy.

Put these peanuts in a bowl I think is their suggestion. I know people are fucking stupid sometimes, but couldn't see someone buying a bag of peanuts then thinking. "Fuck, what do I do with them?"I recently bought a bag of peanuts.
It had a f'en warning on it "May Contain Peanuts".
It better have peanuts in it, the bag says Planters 100% Peanuts ffs.
I think it's the Sainsburys (UK supermarket) peanuts which have a picture of a bowl of peanuts on the front, and in the bottom corner of the bag it says "serving suggestion"

As in a whole bowl is the suggested serving size? Or "put these peanuts in a bowl to serve them"?
mokz trumps the peanuts though, if that is real ketchup.

They Shall Not Grow Old
To mark the 100 year end of WW1 a load of the old footage has been modernised in full colour with speech added that could be gathered from the films. It's absolutely incredible to see, really helps give you more of a feeling of what it could have been like back then. Narration throughout of the people who were there.
Incredibly moving
It's on iPlayer for the next week for peeps who can get it. I highly recommend you do if you can.

I still didn't quite manage to finish FO4, I wanted to but suddenly everything just lost impact and I gave up. Think I was right near the end too. Maybe I'll give it another go. Not convinced about FO76 though. Not that I've looked at any gameplay.

The oven & hob stopped working just before I finished cooking this evening and the landlady hasn't got back to me with any sort of answer yet, usually she's straight away. Tried reseting any breakers I could find to no avail. I'm doing good at eating tasty healthy meals but that's not going to continue with just a microwave, toaster and kettle in the flat to warm anything up.

Did anyone see the 2 part special of Michael Palin visiting North Korea. Highly recommended, an all around great guy who still did try and weevil as much as he could out of his "watchers", and you could see how it made them squirm. It was great to see some of the fantastic places in that country, including beautiful parts that should be seen much more.
