ANALOGUE BUBBBLEBATH 6 CONFIRMED. -
Bets on how many will eventually get posted? I'm in the 400s range
That's if he upgrades his SC account
I wonder how willing he'll really be to do that. He might move to another account, delete old ones to make room, or stop posting entirely.

someone is ripping all of this right? I don't have the time at the moment.

and sound like ass
huh?
oh...it hasnt leaked
Hahahahahahahaha.
These previews are really long, guys.
and sound like ass
It's almost like I'm listening to the full album here....
fixd
also, the leak will sound like ass too, i've suddenly concluded...
ediy: AS IN SOUND QUALITY not the actual sound-data-conscious-material that is syro
I don't recall FLAC being considered "ass" quality by most people.

I'm sure she'll be happy to know her physical appearance is being scrutinized by lonely neckbeards who use "IDM" as a superlative
femnazi pandering language is worse than valley girl lingo imO.

Help, I'm being triggered.

>VICE
I really don't need to say anything, do I?

Insider sources tell me The Powers That B part 2 will feature Aphex... heavily
That'd be the only thing that could save it, likely.

I guess me and psn are in the minority re foldface-w.jpg. It's pretty obvious to my eyes it's just a photo of Rich that's been folded and scanned. That's not to say that image won't end up being the cover image, it just really isn't him holding up an lp imo. We need some new info in this thread, shit is getting silly
You aren't alone. It's pretty obvious that it's a Kemp fold - it's in the goddamned filename for crying out loud.

Each locker contains a new album. The keys are hidden in various locations around the world. No we need to find the keys to those lockers!
Real life Afex Aventures.

Finally.

Then what was the point of the ripping process?
The super-special terms of the super-exclusive agreement between WATMM and Rephlex meant that the audio had to come from the particular copy for sale.
Yeah.
-
Please stop mentioning places to hear/get this illegally - people had more than ample opportunities to get the tracks legally.
As far as I understand, this whole digital release was a one-time thing and the album won't be available again, correct? In that case, it effectively doesn't matter what people do with this (apart from straight-up bootlegging, of course) because there are no future sales to be affected. Plus it's more than a bit naïve to expect people not to get their hands on music one way or another, and even more so considering this particular situation.

My laptop crashed and died whilst listening to track 4. I cannot boot it up at all.
FML.
Hope my download code still works so I can at least download it at work tomorrow and burn a CD.
There's always the YouTube links.

"Hey, this track really reminds me of Mr. Fingers. What's it called?"
>Fingry
FUCK.
-
None of these would happen to be the first track of the "Joyrex Tape", would they?
-
I thought this was a well-crafted joke.
Until I refreshed the page and saw all these other replies. Holy shit.

I'm sure everything is quite good.

Rephlex are replacing all the songs with unreleased remixes of Bananarama.

Ah, I see - yeah, it doesn't sound bad, but still wondering.
I'd be far more worried about what equipment s/he used to rip the disc with (what turntable/preamp, audio-in settings, post-processing, etc.). The technical specifications don't matter to my ears because if you can tell a difference past about 256kbps and 44.1kHz you're already inhuman (most people have a hearing range of up to around 20kHz). I'm just an autistic archivist, so my interest in quality only runs as far as statistic data. My ears don't care as long as it's at least 192kbps.

LOL @ the "lineage" - CDr as source? so if it went vinyl to CDr, that means the audio was capped at 16-bit/14400, right? Then, reduced again by FLAC conversion? Wouldn't that make it less than stellar (I personally don't care THAT much about audio fidelity, but some here do)?
If it went straight from vinyl to CD-R, that suggests to me that someone used one of those shitty all-in-one Crosleys or whatever that let you burn a disc straight from a rip. Obviously the popular AB5 rip does not sound bad at all, so I suspect this lineage is erroneous. At any rate, even if a CD-R was involved at some point, the files are 16-bit/44.1kHz anyway, so nothing would have been lost there.

I would imagine that it may be to do with sorting out the final distribution of the files. of course, whatever server will be hosting the content will get battered to fuck upon release, so it needs to be a service that can stand up to the demand.
I would hope that Joyrex hasn't chosen Bleep to host the files...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading that it might be done through a Bandcamp page? That was a while ago and maybe just an idea, though. If it's not Bandcamp, I'm with you in hoping that whenever server the files are being hosted on will be up to snuff for handling the traffic it'll get on release day.
