one of the odder CDs i own is on a dodgy label and advertises itself as 'lee scratch perry meets king tubby in the studio'

i always thought it was a bit sketch - and didn't have access to internets when i bought it, i was living in a caravan

when i did have access to internets, i checked it out. turns out it was made by two rabid belgian dub fans using protools and haxed VSTs

they somehow managed to con a small, shady label into thinking it was a rare digital tubbyscratch soundclash

 

i hold onto it as a curiosity - i love odd things like this ;)

I know a lot of people will tell me "uguruurhg, this isn't real dub, you fuck!" but check out Rhythm & Sound's "The Versions"

I have listened to the first half of this so far and I am totally amazed. This might be even better than BCD, imo.
