Hello

I see that a few people here may poke fun at Reason but when it came out I caught the DAW bug. I never owned a keyboard either, so it made it easy to put stuff in. So I like it. I made a ton of stuff with it in the past decade or so with a few standouts that I like to listen to. I have not shared it with anyone until I found soundcloud and figured I could see if anyone else liked listening to it.

I also found your forum and you all like the same artists as me so I thought maybe you would like to listen to it since we have the same roots. It may not have the professional or complete sound of your songs posted here but hey maybe.

Just spent way too long figuring out how to embed.

i'm always pleasantly surprised when somebody on their first few posts brings up something of real quality. this thing kicks. drums are punchy, and it brings to mind some sort of alternative-universe electro. i daresay if you're thinking about the actual quality of the sound - mastering and EQing - you have nothing to worry about. the whole thing's a joy to my ears.

there's a couple of structural qualms I'd have though. the main electroorgan riff gets a bit repetitive toward the end - it seems like it would make fabulous video game music, looping in an unobvious manner, but as a standalone song it suffers slightly this way. some elements for contrast (something with a lot of highs, sharp attack - i'm obviously thinking chimes but there's plenty out there) would fill it out in terms of variation.

secondly, with the electro feel it might benefit from some harsher compression; this sort of music seems less suited for the volume drops you have in a couple of places to my ears.

i'd love to hear what else you've accumulated over the years.
