Granddad? I just uploaded some CONDENSATIONCORE to bandcamp.
Steampunk was ahead of the curve then?

You've all managed to refine this page down to the most highly potent and addictive crack-rock of cuteness.

Ian plsDoes this remind you of some artwork?
This is the type of coincidence inevitably happening when all of your design tools are squares and nonstandard colors
(sent from my not-Apple device using Talk That Talk Deluxe Edition)
Also, do these colours remind you of somme things?

if you cut out a silent bit in a wav editor does a tree flac in the woods?

Been thrashing a tape called "Jane Papaya" by Norwegian Synth-Prog band PAJJAMA. You could maybe call it Chillwave as there's an 80's TV theme music vibe but its just got really good musicianship as well.

THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST IMPRESSIVE SOUND DESIGN THAT EVOKES MADE-UP MATERIALS AND TEXTURES THEY HAVE DONE.. WHAT COULD IT BE CALLED? NON-SPECIFIC PHYSICAL MODELLING? SQUEAKY METALS HITTING GLASS IN RUBBER CAVES, ETC.. REALISTIC IN A FANTASTICAL WAY.

Wabby's first impressions:
Tac Lacora
Dodging the elastic propulsion paths of Star Warsy walker instruments that have architecturally rigged pendulum strings that kill. Demonoid breath. Winged double helix beings opening into a gallery of silver arsenic dust clouds where knifes play games that billow into lungs. Clogged and died.
M39 Diffain
Inside liquid porthole fidget at the asphyxiation threshold. Silicon footwork ellipses web-like into the Easter-egg island reveal patterns. Gradual life emerges from randomised code of Mozart sonata.
Osla for n
Epic Majong struggle in breezy neon-lit noodle shop between Tesla powered afro-wig ladies teleporting through prime-numbered substitution patterns. Thin slivers of coloured fruit-lights trail outward with opalescent motion lines indicating the memory gaps where non-plans self-generate into The Unified Reorganising Principle of Sepia Tinted Photo-Metrics.
Newbound
Layers of extreme-personality 'laser-feels' via lymph node frequency massage. Public access granted to the maudlin revelries of a search engine algorithm coping with entirely new kinds of self-awareness paradoxes. Tricked into dancing waltz-style by the deceiving floors of depth perception and a poisonous jellyfish DJ drunk-as-fuck on stingray juice moonshine.

"Walk with me. Most of the major cities will be replaced with vast pleasure domes used exclusively by the 'Excellceites' who are the neo-upperclass. While the displaced hoards of lower-class depth grovelers will live underground in tiered cities, endlessly toiling away for nuggets of neo-plasmen. "

i guess i'm just not one of these people that is 'tired' of being technically blown away by IDM-ish music made by the heroes I looked up to for so long, not just autechre but Aphex and Squarepusher as well. I understand that we aren't in an era where the goal is 'who can produce the most intricate high BPM drill pattern', but i still miss what I'm referring to
Exai IS really intricate though in my opinion. It seemed like a return to rhythmic detail after the jamminess of Quaristice and the melody focused approach of Oversteps. Could it be more of an aesthetic thing that you're describing? The thick heaving molasses of Exai is a different kind of detail, less of the sharp/precise micro edits but instead with insane layerings of morphing complexities.

This is fuckin' great.

I'm really divided about this type of music.

Bloody hell, that enormous-cricket-eating-a-carrot is insane! Imagine trying to chase one of those fuckers out of your house with a rolled-up newspaper
He spoke, and the locusts came!

Some say that the association with Silk Road was the biggest thing holding back it's perceived legitimacy.
