Stone in Focus cover is LUSH. The addition of the delicate beat is a nice touch.

Thanks Hautlle! I went back and watched the video again following each step and doing it myself with an amen, replaying each bit so I didn't miss anything. I see now that neighbor tracks don't have the playback parameter menu (I feel like a playback parameter menu after stopping and rewinding that video so may times). I tried to implement it all again from memory on a new break and came up with some pretty hectic results. Maybe not that musical sounding but I find the endless variations you can get with these methods quite satisfying.

I like that melody part that sounds like a plucked Japanese instrument like a Shamisen or something.

Great use of stereo delays on both the melody and the bass to add a swinging rhythm. This track begs to be longer though.

I was struggling with trying to use conditional trigs, turns out I had to upgrade my Octatrack MK1 to OS 1.31! Lol I should have checked that.
Now I'm trying to figure this cool video out by the same guy (Ned Rush), I don't quite get why he has to route the first track through to the next tracks recording buffer. What does this do that a Neighbor track can't do?

Anyone want to give some tips/guesses/insights into how you might go about creating a pattern like this that keeps changing in such a musical way?

You have a way with words.

Portal 505 has somewhat of a Daft Punk feel in the parts without the acid bassline.
Loving the beats in Elseworlds, especially that dirty clap!
EnvFol is pretty epic, those delayed horn melodies are almost bird-like.

Soo phat, a morbidly obese track! All those slow triangle LFOs modulating the pitch gives it a warm beery wooziness.

1 RM1.23 - Serious fucking laser music from the future.

Love the harmonic progressions in this, there's a sense of spy-movie intrigue and lurking danger. However at times it's like there are two different basslines (the smooth one and the fuzzy one) fighting for space in the lower-mid sound spectrum. The hi-hat pattern is a welcome introduction at 3:36 but it goes away - I felt like that tied it all all together finally.

Amazing how such a busy piece sounds so light and floaty at the same time.

the bits where it goes all stereo or rhythm-gatey..
Those are my favourite bits too, the panning adds variation to the distorted parts. The odd-time nature of the drums certainly keeps the listener guessing which is a good thing.

Interesting how the melodic lines rhythmically undulate, not like the typical 1234,1234 of arps you commonly hear in ambient pieces.

Replicant’s Wisdom - Trippy (pitched?) delays on pitched percussion, I like the way the rhythm of the delays play across the percussion creating complex micro-grooves.
Tether Ambient – Lovely shimmer in the bed of reverb lying under the melody. Great ending with those last 3 unexpected notes on the distorted guitar.

Really lovely the way the filters gradually open up to full textural resolution it’s evocative of natural cycles so the double rainbow sun shower imagery you’ve chosen is very appropriate.

Such dissonant chords remind me of legendary Pissed Up In SE1 vibes. The multiple acid lines never become too much, they stew so well together.

I like that deep heavy bassline, would sound great loud in a car or on a proper sound system. Tight finish on the snare rush. If anything more snare rushes I say.
