how do you like the D50?
ever try one of these -
ive been tempted by the combination of the two for a few years (D50 or 550 as synth + pg1000 controller), but im torn between the idea of getting something like this and just nabbing a cheap JD800 instead
Bought it over year ago because of good deal on local market (smth like 300$), used it in one track then forgot about it because of new additions to studio. But two weeks ago connected and started to discover it again, fixed volume fader today by resoldering it (one channel hadn't work). Not used pg1000 as they are pricey, edited it via MidiQuestXL and I think thats a good solution, u can map any parameter to a midi controller but I haven't tried it yet so dunno how fast response is.
I like how it sounds but programming is a bit esoteric for me atm so it's on level of editing patches that I liked.

I really like your setup. This Studio Electronics ATC-1 looks great, I might be interested in getting one at some point. Do you like Quadraverbs that much that you use two of them? Like one for reverb, the other one for more FX or so?
Thanks! quadraverbs are great for me partly because of early warp stuff where they were used heavily and their hall reverb is really spacey. For example those 2 tracks are nothing more than a matrix1000 into a quadraverb:
got them really cheap and having 2 of them is nice because of 2 synths can go directly to a mixer without using limited amount of outputs from a audiointerface. Want an Ensoniq DP4 so all of them can be connected without computer.

The Alesis QuadraVerb is great, as well. It is a sick, sick device. Amazing. I don't think people really understand the intricacies of outboard effects. that picture is trippy, the chair and furniture itself looks small, but the stuff on the desk and the keyboards look even smaller, until i realize they are a d50 and some 19" rack gear. love it. what is the gearlist in those rack pieces? are those d110's? and?
That's the perspective of 18mm lens :) Gear list: Yamaha DX11, Roland D50 keyboards, rack: nord micromodular, presonus firestudio audiointerface, 2x alesis quadraverb, studio electronics atc-1 with oberheim SEM filter (VCO monosynth), oberheim matrix 1000 (DCO 6-voice polysynth), amplifier.

Did AeFX ever confirm how, or where, he got this? I'm imagining there is a treasure chest of soundboard recordings out there ... somewhere ... (most likely Rob and/or Sean's cloud backup).
