lurked for years, made an account just to post this!
the mega archive floating around a while ago was mine, and recently i've made it a browsable cloud folder. i'm updating this all the time with new comments/artwork etc as they happen

Incredibly hard to reduce to a top 20 but I think I've got a definite 15 with a shortlist of 30 for the remaining 5 votes.
It would be useful if he made the remaining tracks (that aren't available so far) downloadable, that way they would get the same plays as the rest when folk are listening on the bus, in the car etc. and their favourites over time will eventually be revealed.

Server Error (500)
At login it fails. After three attempts it got as far as my SC username but when I attempted to connect it then continually failed at that stage too.
Same situation on Android and ipad.
Any advice??

Renaat was a bit of a slippery fish, a player, i believe he thought he was doing the artists all a big favour when in reality it was the other way around, although he had the business brain so it worked both ways. He was like mr richard as thats what he used to call me, how much do you want for Digeridoo? I had about 100 £ in the bank and I was totally stuck for an answer, I said um I dunno.. He offered me £1000k advance which wasnt bad i suppose back then. I immediately left my microelectronics engineering degree course at Kingston uni, my mates all thought i was mad, i was like cya , good fucking luck, Im outta here!
THEN shortly afterwards Colin Favor called me up, he was THE big dj from Kiss FM London, UK and said did I want to put it out on his label Rabbit city! So I remember this really weird horrible feeling not knowing what to do, I went to meet Colin, he answered the door wearing dark sunglasses and all bruised up face ,he looked like he been beaten up, he said he was in a car crash? hmmm This was 1992, so i was 21.
anyway he told me how Rennat was not to be trusted and said why dont i release it on both and grab the dosh from r&s in true london gangster style I thought about it for about 1 minute and agreed! Afterwards I thought what the fuck am i doing, Ive just landed the best deal ever and and made me an amazing new friend Renaat and now Im going to fuck him over immediately !
I just believed Colin [as DODGY as he looked ] and went for it. Got paid twice..&2 uberace labels :) Then came the horrible moment Just before R&s was about to release digeridoo ep when Renaat called me saying Mr richard, what is this rabbit city white label? ahyeahum..dunnoo..whats that? ha in hindsight I did the right thing because I could sense Rennaat was well fly and thought id fucking flyhim right back in his cocky Belgian mush, gotta smile..
Apparently Rennat bought loads of copies of the rabbit city up, not sure if thats true.. So it came out on Rabbit city, then R&S , then outer rhythm licensed it for the uk again from R&S and it got to the top 50 in the charts after probably selling around 20-30k copies ! then it sold about the same again!
Have to mention it but Colin Favor was the ONLY person in my life so far who gave me back the metal masters from the pressing plant ! So Ive still got them and they look AMAZING, he did it so i would trust him not to repress it on the sly, dude! thanks Colin!
+++and theres more, so recently Ive been in touch with Dev from Paradox who is probably my fave drum programmer in the stratisverse and he told me that the exact Kiss fm show that Colin Favour first aired my didgeridoo , dev got the first radio airing of his tracks! So amazing, he remembers coz mine was on before, I didnt remember him being on it coz i stopped recording after dig got played! So that show was a catalyst for both of us .
I had my fair share of problems with r&s which i wont go into but we have now reached an agreement and are friends, kind of.. Renaat, hope your treating artists the way they deserve now mate! Lastly before I got upset by r&s I sent them a c90 tape in excitement that they wanted to release my stuff and i FILLED it with my best tracks at the time and he never got it! phew , phew I was so relieved, coz as soon as i posted it off I wanted to get it back, I wonder where that tape ended up???? anyway hope that answers your question :)

Interesting to read how that all unfolded, it would have been good to know how he went on with R&S to put out the xylem tube ep with that doubt in the back of his mind. With a bit of luck they'll work out something incredible for that SAW 85-92 repress with bonus material he mentioned he'd like to do.

I only put up a quick top 5 because other posters were discussing how difficult it would be, but it appears to have started a chain reaction that'll probably end up wiping out civilization before the maniton can finish his work on the poll. Sorry about that guys. WTF does maniton even mean anyway?

Probably, soundcloud lists seven playlists, but I can only see six, likely SOSW2 is private while he assembles.

guh, roadblock. so i've started off by making a scraper and a page that grabs all the track info + displays it in a way that we can sort by plays/comments/likes/etc. (i figured that would at least start to give some sort of indicator of most popular tracks that i can extrapolate from to assist with voting)
many of the earlier tracks seem to have this stuff turned off though - look on soundcloud (as in the website) for tracks like 'red calx', both 'how to science', 'japan', etc. no stats showing under the tracks at all.
i wonder whether rdj turned this off or it's soundcloud being stupid? :/
edit: 82/227 tracks have no info at all
I think all the first batch lost the stats/info for a while. Can anyone with uploads on Soundcloud shed any light on how the stats can be managed? Can the user toggle them on and off from their profile?

As it happens I see SAW 1.5 is now listed as having 15 tracks but my Android device still only shows 11 (cache clear not helping) so any of these playlists/albums can change.

Has he? What was AB6 track 1? And was the last track actually the last track?He's already (fully?) uploaded SAW 1.5, AB6 & SOSW 2 as well as tracks from the joyrex tape so he may avoid mastering / releasing these individual tunes outwith their intended album format.
I have nothing labelled Polygon Window from this dump - never mind SOSW2.
Any indication as to what is what would be great.

I did write '(fully?)' so not too much of a stretch of the imagination to consider the albums mentioned are either not complete or the so - called missing tracks are uploaded but not identified in exactly the same way RDJ himself has stated SOSW 2 has already been uploaded, in the most part. He said he'll look out the other tracks. If you need further clarification on Polygon Windows tracks ask him and hope for a reply.

Yeah, it would be handy if he picked himself but he's being pretty good by suggesting the fans pick. Maybe he could add his own choice cuts on a bonus disc after the voting?

He could be uploading new tracks for the rest of the year. Voting on your favourite within every batch of X number of times isn't that bad an idea. If/when he declares he's done you've already whittled it down and can then vote for best of the best to get the suitable number for an lp/2xlp/3xlp...

Soundcloud can be a bit of an annoying wanker at times...
On user18081971 main page, right hand side, it states only 3 playlists. Which got me worked up because I hadn't taken a not of them all.
But, scroll down to SAW 1.5 it states 14 tracks but doesn't show them all. Click on display more and it still only shows ten. Click on the actual playlist and you get 14. On top of that my mobile version still shows the original (different) tracklist despite clearing the cache numerous times.
