The ones on the mikro12 page are samplers. I have no idea why. Will see if I can find the actual CD-Rs. Might turn them into a compilation instead.

No pretending from me. I find the modular stuff sonically interesting. It's not the kinda stuff I'd stick on at a dinner party or listen to on repeat but the experimental nature of the tracks appeals to me.

Edit: so I can finally disregard that account as one which only contains tracks previously posted elsewhere.
I did notice one of the recent batch was posted on that account first, as if in error so it might be linked in some way.

Erik took all his tracks down from Soundcloud as he has been approached by someone to release them. There were over a hundred tracks up at one time or another of consistently good quality. I agree it was a provocative statement though!

Just hit 1001 votes on the "top 30", and 1668 total accounts on the system.
(There has been a ton more votes if I count vote changes... the 1001 refers to total people who have voted).
A little disappointed this isn't higher - there are 70K followers on soundcloud and there has to be a gob of aphex fans who want to get involved.

Except for a tiny link without explanation in the profile description of his account there isn't any publicity (save for watmm). Not my favourite thing to say, but it could be a good idea to notify RA, Fact Mag, etc. Aphex himself could post it on his facebook or twitter but hasn't so far, maybe he just want the """diehard""" fans to vote?
Maybe somebody on this forum could write a good article regarding the dump and submit it to one of these guys. So far what has been written regarding the soundcloud release has been misleading and messy at best. If you don't follow this forum or the reddit thread, you really are getting mixed messages about whether it has been taken down, the legitimacy etc etc.
With some good journalism and pointing the right direction, maybe the voting would explode.

Been listening to these tracks quite a lot while working for the last few weeks and gems keep popping up all over the place. Gonna have to do some tweaking to my votes at some point I think. And more on the way! Bring it on!! :D
Yes, I sorted mine originally between ones I liked and ones I didn't. I have moved several across but it is one way traffic. There are none going from like to dislike.

Its really good. I have listened to every other track.And i made changes. 8 utopia instead of inthesky...Wierd. I dont know how i changed that title in my head of some track i did not like as much...Inthesky, is really good. But when i heard utopia for the first time now. If i will change one song in my list, its inthesky... Perhaps.Even thou i like it allot. (Plus the instruments reminds me of girl/boy song, which was one of the first songs i ever heard of aphex twin a long time ago. ;) *nostalgia*)Dont know why i even comment on the subject. I just discovered one track that i missed...Which is really good!Will have to listen through it some more tomorrow. I like the idea of using multiple votes from the thirty. This is effectively a 'weighting' of tracks. This could dramatically change the results but reflect the fact that voters feel particularly strong about certain tracks.

Pretend Analogue sounds fantastic now. I really didn't appreciate the difference in quality the download button makes.
