    Better quality here...

Very much appreciated on this as well… used the same resource to grab this as well. I uploaded it to the user14041984001 page on sc I have been running for awhile now. Started off as a Rephlex era RDJ page - I was finding that there were a bunch of small pages that shared a few RDJ rarities and some analord - for my sanity I wanted to put it all in one place and SoundCloud for better or worse was where I was able to do that.

    The field day set 🙃

So I downloaded the video off YouTube and used the “separate audio” iOS shortcut exporting it to .wav file.

If you wanted to go a step further - you could load it in a DAW and do some extra mastering - but with this version of the video - the audio quality was so good I didn’t do anything to the audio file once I converted the video to audio. Hope that helps my friend!

I got this recording from the 4k video on YouTube I believe, and remastered it a bit before uploading to my Aphex blog page on SoundCloud. (Link to the file will take you to the page, it’s got a ton of content-mostly Rephlex era Aphex, but some mike p and most recently global goon’s 2023 web output.)

I feel like this sounds better than the 2023 stuff I’ve uploaded (big thank yous to the folks that got them up so quickly on YouTube), aside from Best Kept Secret, which I didn’t remaster at all - downloaded the file to audio and uploaded to the page.

To anyone unfamiliar with the page, I called it “user14041984001”. If you dig Aphex and want to listen to stuff you can’t find on the streaming services, that’s where I’ve tried to put it. The Tuss, Analord, Universal Indicator, Bradley Strider were the first selections I went with and for a couple years now I’ve been working at maintaining the page with new content / updated curation.

Majestics is very polished and catchy. Excellent work.

    J Huhn is incredibly good.

Tracks shared are my favorite goon beats I’ve heard in a very long time.

    @Lpjunglerecords

Lately, I've been occasionally listening to tapes while at work.

Dude I love it! That’s an epic Walkman - got one on eBay a few years back and when I opened it the headphones literally turned to dust lol. The console is in tact and with auxiliary cables being what they are today - I can get it set up to some pretty nice speaks ?

This album is absolutely stunning. I’m still giving it a spin today got to song 7 and continuing on today. My first impression is how well produced the tracks are. Second takeaway is how the tracks - although very different in many cases - flow perfectly from one song to the next. And for it to be released simultaneously with the bandcamp, YouTube, and other web released material is straight up amazing.

Unlike the acid-centric tunes released as Johnny Hawk this past year or so - these are quite developed and really exhibit ALL of your musical skills in addition to the sound engineering prowess bestowed upon us on the Johnny hawk YouTube acid tracks. There are powerful uses of samples, all different types of drums, real bass lines and synth riffs thrown into a blender of tripped out house beats and samples.

In my opinion - it is the best Global Goon ALBUM to date - where I may prefer some of the harder acid stuff from the YouTube page - this album is confident, engaging and flows like a journey you’ve been waiting to take for a long time.

I hear inspiration from many sides of the human psyche - from happiness to fear and everything in between.

When you listen, with your artist ears, you can hear the amount of effort that went into the construction and production of each song.

All in all - I put this up there with ITSAME  by Brainwaltzera and Magic Pony Ride / Hello / Goodbye μ-Ziq’s releases from this year for best albums of the year - especially in our world of braindance. I recommend it highly and have purchased the cassette @Johnny Hawk?. Hope there’s a wax release in the works!

  7. @Johnny Hawk-wondered if you were planning any physical releases of the new bandcamp albums? I can imagine the Trakqs sound pretty noice on wax seeing as how they were created. I know from experience the cost of physical releases is quite high - so understand if it is not in your future plans - but I do believe there is more than enough buzz about these tracks and they are worthy of a vinyl release. Especially the album and track art you’ve used. (Would love to know who the artist(s) is - as I’d love to work with them!)

As the owner of a discogs shop - I selfishly would love to stock up on some new Goon! I won’t plug my shop here - but mu-ziq has been dropping all sorts of vinyl releases and I am doing my best to stay stocked with all of his new works as well.

much love to all of you
