i tap all my beats on it hate all you want but can you argue with results? if you havent heard my music check my sig or look at my threads in ylc or wait for blackhole comp OK so you use it as a controller? It sends MIDI? That's cool. no, im using it as a sampler, i cut up vinyl samples and transfer hits to the pads and tap them out and record it, then send back to whatever im using to multitrack, normally audition or reason

thats interesting because out of everyone that has posted studio pics recently, your music sounds the deepest/most professional
-
lol you guys have so much equipment, its nuts, ekt should be putting out some fucking jams but it isnt
-
you guys have some fancy studios, everyone repost their pics and link to some samples of stuff youve made in them im not going to post mine, because its a laptop and a sampler on my bed/couch, somewhere near a record player sometimes. i couldnt imagine building a big studio with expensive equipment and making it all polished and nice looking, and then sitting down and trying to write something.

ok, jeez, im not taking potshots at anything, this is how i joke. i dislike a great quantity of most music, so dubstep is no exception, however i have found little redeeming (to my taste) quality in almost 90% of what i have heard. i have given it a chance and yes i have heard it on large systems. I was exaggerating when i said i hadnt been to a club in a year, but it seems like its been atleast that long since i have looked forward to going to a venue to hear live music. if you feel like you have some recommendations that i might like feel free to link me and i will listen to them. i dont suck dicks in YLC, infact I attempt to point out what I dont like and make suggestions. i avoid posting replies to music that i dislike because i feel ylc is a place that people come to share something they have made and i dont want to actually hurt peoples feelings with my idiocy.

i didnt insult anything, thats just my opinion, but obviously im pushing some buttons here dubstep = generic "dark" music for the masses edit: 32 pages
-
no, it makes no sense to me why there is a dubstep thread, which is practically the psytrance of today, on watmm but yea, im rubbing my nipples and i feel better now
-
i dont really consider dubstep shows an event that I would want to go to, i shudder to think of american dubstep fans
-
youre right, i dont i also dont know what the "overwelming majority" of celine dions albums sound like, but i can take a guess that they are crap i have heard enough to know its all the same, or atleast its all derivative of something that i just dont dig very much im just being ornery for no reason
-
i like burial and some scorn and boxcutter, but the overwhelming majority of dubstep is complete garbage, and in my opinion doesnt warrant its own scene or genre or whatever
-
lights set north - proteus i wasnt a big fan of the malcolm kipe stuff, although skyler is a nice guy, and i definitely try to support him in all his endeavors
-
plaid is balls nasty, unlike dubstep which is trash and has been and always will be basically the question i was asking was, have people come to their senses and moved on yet? i haven't been to a club in almost a year, so i really wouldnt know what you scallywags are doing in there.
