    As silly as it is, I'd rather it be called Glo-Fi. But the way to not spread these terms is to not say them out loud or type them any more on the internet! I know they've already caught on, but I'm not playing.

    Chillwave LOL I've been laughing at this shit for awhile now. The Washed Out song I heard was enjoyable and I'm sure there is some other decent stuff, but come ON! Chillwave? That's ridiculous. It's the sound of Indie rockers discovering Boards of Canada and worshiping Ariel Pink. The Neon Indian I heard was garbo.

    That's an interesting and oddly understandable reaction. It's definitely basement dwelling music innit

     

     

     

    funny you say that because the first time i ever heard the residents was through this really weird guy i did a roof for. i mean a real addams family motherfucker. he hung out in his basement all day and would emerge every once in a while with a different pet snake in his hand. he kept trying to get me to borrow one of his thousand residents dvd's. i would have taken him up on it, but that would have meant spending more time talking to him (which was awkward at best), so i told him i only listen to gangster rap.

     

    he was really nice, and even bought us lunch a couple times, but god only knows what went on in that basement all day with all those snakes and residents dvd's. *shivers*

     

    This is a great story.

    While at Warp20 New York this weekend, one of the guys from the Bleep office starting talking about the Aphex snowboards! Turns out these things were official. When I mentioned seeing one up on ebay, he reckoned it was Rich selling it himself to make some extra cash. LOL

    While searching eBay for their current AFX listings, I came across this apparently official Aphex Twin Come To Daddy snowboard.

    The seller is currently asking for $1,000 Buy It Now + $50 shipping. Does anyone have any info on this snowboard? Is it official like they claim? Are any of you fan boys going to actually buy this thing?

     

    In my opinion it does look pretty cool. lol.
