I know there's alot of other shit going on in the world, but all I can keep doing is refreshing this thread. My first Aphex was the tracks from "Further Down the Spiral", and maybe because it's been so long, I'm unbelievably excited about this release.

Ooh ooh, "My First Aphex." For me it was Girl/Boy on the Amp compilation. That's also where Ni Ten Ichi Ryu got me into dnb...so basically that cd/tv show drastically changed my life.

There was really something special about being there in the 90s. Having each album come out and just taking those first few days as a WTF vacation because it would be so utterly different from the last. Then it would start to grow on you.

Also while it was admittedly pretty cheesy, I really enjoyed Amp. The comp and show. It was like this weird embassy for 'muricans to hear some really interesting music.

  3. What- if Syro sells more than Thriller, that would make Dali's surrealism look like clocks are supposed to be floppy on stuff.

    BBC News International:

"Aphex Twin's Syro- the master's first proper release in over a decade- has sold 3 billion copies on the week of release. In other news: there is no other news."

    lol

"Syro ends all Middle East Conflicts; Ressurects Robin Williams.

In other news: There will never be other news. Kladfvgbung Micshk Dagon

Any other Bay Area people in the thread? I'm looking into the feasibility of booking a club for a listening party and am curious as to whether people would even be interested.

Hell yeeeeeah! SPD might be down as well as him and I were planning a listening thingy.

I'm in the peninsula, and I'd be interested as well!

So we're all entering the lottery, right? I don't see why you wouldn't.

Call me crazy, but I can totally see someone not wanting to spend four hundred bucks on a couple of fancy posters

Well crazy, I don't see why you wouldn't enter the lottery at no cost, then make up your mind about the $400 for fancy posters at a later date. Even if you didn't give a shit, you could re-sell it for more than you paid easily.

  6. So we're all entering the lottery, right? I don't see why you wouldn't. I would like to hope that people wouldn't sell the warpmart codes once they receive them, but there's a bunch of savages in this town.

  7. Still can't believe Vice grabbing credit for this infamous fake leak and feeding those torrent motherfuckers dude.

I know guys there, really tempted to engage a conversation with them( X_X )

It's pretty standard clickbait stuff. Doesn't matter if the actual audio is even remotely legit. It's a 'made you look' type deal.
