    Real bikes ftw! (too many around me says "bike" and mean "MC") My own scott sub20 is unfortunately deeply hidden in our labyrintic (?) basement atm so it hasn't been used for 6 months or something... I walk instead, less stuff to maintain and service. 15K steps a day!

    I sincerely hope he releases something of this standard again.

    Oh, please not! Extreme ornamentation on tracks that really doesn't hold up on it's own serves no use. Make good tracks instead. (I mean "180db_" works because there's a cheesy hook and some stompy drums, not any detailed programming without a track behind it!) I would much more prefer something like The Tuss tracks or Polygon Window stuff... OR will there ever be a solid 4 track EP like AB4 again?

     

    (then again... considering his fantastic output already... how many great tracks can ONE person write?)

    Btw. I'm feeling Exai will be my favourite AE album for a long time if not for ever. It's just an amazing colorful sonic journey that has no competitor for me. It's great the guys are still able to record something that I feel may be their greatest achievement in their career.

    This! Exai is so great.

    Drukqs is truly a modern masterpiece.

    i was deeply disappointed with drukqs when it came out

     

    I still am. (Just like with Windowlicker)

    Can't understand this obession with this weak album. I prefer AB3, AB4, Surfing on SInewaves, SAW 1 & 2, and the Tuss LP (on 33 rpm) among others. (AFX is much better in selected tracks over all, the standard among tracks varies wildly on each album...IMHO)

    Syro didn't last long around here. I'm a really big fan of richards stuff from 85-99 and most of the Tuss stuff - but the new songs IMHO are mostly OCD programming, layers and fx rather than songs that actually works without a ton of gimmicks.

     

    I generally love detailed programming, but there must be some substance beyond that, too.Therefore I actually really like the cheesy and simple "180db_" - many times it doesn't have to be so complex to make a fun track that works quite well!

     

    I like "XMAS_EVET10 (Thanaton3 Mix)" and the main theme in the japanese bonus track.

     

    Still playing "Rushup I Bank 12" (33 rpm) and "GX1 Solo" almost daily, so unbelivable great tracks!

    (and "irlite (get 0)" daily, but that's just a slightly bit off topic... :D)

    I don't like Quaristice, too much short & pointless jams. But I LOVE the quadrange tracks and my playlist with selected tracks from the regular CD, versions and quadrange eps are probably my most played ae-playlist. It's great to have lot's of stuff to choose from!

    it really is a great album, and just like with quaristice & the quadrange eps, with more material, there's a lot more to actually enjoy and get into... (quaristice is the album I like the least, but with my special selection of what I actually like, with quadrange eps tracks also being brought into the selection - it is by far my most played ae-album & ep ever! it feels a bit funny... :wacko: )

    bladelores, spl9, YJY UX, and keyosc - WOW!
