All the Pro Skater games were pretty amazing. Just saw that this isn't being made by Neversoft though, so now I'm somewhat hella worried.
Wait and see... The THPS franchise doesn't exactly have the best track recordTony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 announced!!! http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2015/05/05/tony-hawk-returns-exclusive-first-look.aspx?utm_content=bufferae6bb&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

PT was excellent but that teaser video they later put up, the one with the weird worms coming out of a mouth or whatever was... not so excellent. Made it look like the final game would focus a lot on nasty looking monsters and stuff which is not what made PT so good.
Sucks if it's cancelled but plenty of other cool games are coming out in the future and this year alone. Like The Witcher and Mad Max. And Batman. And MGS5.

Missed that. Thx

Amazon is not running at a loss. They had like one year recently where they moved into the red but things went back to normal the year after. They just have an extremely low net profit due to shipping costs and constant investments/expansions (i.e. the money could instead have been profit for the company) and that's not "a stupid business model" at all. The reason they've survived all these years while much of their competition has died out is this focus on the long term. And why investors really like that makes perfect sense.

Valiant Hearts. Just finished it and it was very good.

Squee: I meant "open" in relation the different missions having multiple paths and ways to solve various tasks. The uncharted planets are pretty meh if you're not really into skyboxes but the main missions are endlessly more replayable than anything in 2 & 3. Should've made that more clear but I'm on mobile so typing is a nightmare.

ME2 pretty much starts everything over anyway so it doesn't matter much. ME1 really picks up at the end but if you dislike the game it's not really worth it. Very slow paced but also a lot more open than the sequels.

HR was really really good. One of the best franchise reboots I can think of tbh
Those boss fights were really annoying if you chose to spend your ability points on stealth. Otherwise, I really like the game.
I read something about the Director's Cut (whatever that was... a re-release I guess?!) of HR having fixed the boss fights, so at least they're aware they sucked.

keeping in mind, the angry joe rant didn't stem from nintendo or youtube pulling the videos down, but from him choosing monetise ON, expecting to make money of course from him providing commentary to him and his friends playing a party game (i'm assuming there's commentary, i haven't actually watched the video in question and am even wondering what excellent "commentary" was even provided and so worth of them gorgeous precious youtube provided dollar bills.
but having pressed the monotise button and switched it ON, and the video being recognized as having nintendo owned content. nintendo are not pulling the video down but are asking for a mere 40% with the 'content creator' still making the larger cut.
funny thing is, with this specific 'content creator' in question. is that he wouldn't be facing this issue if he was using youtube to actually create content, instead of merely uploading video after video of talking over him sitting around not working and playing video games all day.
it's the equivalent of those fucking spam fake news youtube channels, that collate news from various news sites and upload millions of videos onto youtube with news automatically read out in computer generated text. playing a game from start to end takes TIME. and it's easy. long video lengths = multiple video uploads. more video parts = more chances for increased view numbers and higher dollar bills being sent your way. and for creating content ?? nope. for talking over video games that other people worked on and produced.
and all of this is over nintendo asking for 40%? give me a fucking break.
This post is pure fact.
As long as you're making a living off (or making a decent amount of money from) playing and commenting on video games on the internet you're in no position to complain about anything. So shush.

plus they totally ripped off haxan cloak for their commercial
http://pitchfork.com/news/59040-the-haxan-cloak-accuses-jay-zs-tidal-of-ripping-him-off/
Saw this a few days ago and I seriously don't get it. The last Haxan Cloak album was mostly just a collection of horror movie trailer sounds so if the music in that promo ripped him off, every sound designer who's ever worked on a trailer might as well accuse HC of ripping them off. Also, I don't even hear the resemblance between those HC tracks and the stuff in the Tidal thing. Unless HC is the sole inventor of screeching noises and low donk sounds?! Either way his reaction makes him look like a dork.
I still like Excavations though.
