  1. bugsy malone, i love this film. good way to trick art-hating youths into watching a musical. also the only film where jodie foster doesn’t make me feel nauseous. this n the sopranos are the best organised crime related media there ever wuz. tomorrow never comes...

i never listened to this guys music except the space jam song which i really dislike

wow you fucked up. he's a once in a generation talent and he doesn't even know how good he is. i love his music. he is also really fucking insane and definitely has abused women.

i'm not really an r&b fan; it's just not my thing. but i did go through a moment where i really enjoyed maxwell and i think faith evans and all 3 girls from TLC are amazing (and very pretty). apart from that i find the rest incredibly arrogant and annoying- especially when they form groups like boys II men or jodeci

I read an interview with r kelly a few years ago. He took the guy doing the interview up to the sears tower in Chicago when it wasn't open to the public. Halfway through the conversation he threw his arms out and belted two full verses of 'I believe I can fly' whilst looking out at the city. The image of this makes me so happy.

  3. a girl ordered an aeropress to my house, i've only used it twice but not impressed so far. it seems like you have to be very particular with these things which i don't like. i dont drink that much good coffee but those stovetop/moka pots are the best! like a delicious proper strong drug cup not just another thing you swig back throughout the day. minimal faff also

  4. hannibal was so pretentious it broke through into some kind of abstract camp. loved the first two seasons. ridiculous show. third season didn't fully deliver on the yaoi hentai potential, i was expecting a full on gay sex scene by the end, instead i got an evanescence video.

oh man i never watched the show but i love this paragraph so much.

    even awesomer news

Phil Lord and Chris Miller reportedly concerned studio bosses with their 'screwball comedy angle'

The recently departed Star Wars Han Solo spin-off directors were reportedly sacked for turning the classic franchise character into one more akin to Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura, according to new reports.

Last week, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller left the prequel project after reportedly experiencing “deep fundamental differences” with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and scriptwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

However, a Star Wars fansite now claims that the directors’ “screwball comedy angle” was “starting to interfere with what the character of Han Solo is really about”.

Alden Ehrenreich’s portrayal of a young Han Solo is described in the report as being “oddly comparable to Jim Carrey’s performance in Ace Ventura at times”.

It is further claimed that lead star Ehrenreich “let his concerns be known to one of the producers, who then told Kennedy about it, which led to her decision to look over the existing footage.”

This led to Kennedy and Kasdan becoming “deeply concerned” with the direction of the film, according to an anonymous source.

It follows another recent report that acting coaches were hired to mentor Ehrenreich after studio bosses became unsatisfied with the performance that they had received.

lol i had a vision when reading this of the ace ventura impersonator from that nathan for you episode flailing around on a gigantic set.

  6. Same at Whole Foods.

yeah this was kind of like the NZ version of whole foods.

i can't tell you how many middle aged women i would see per day buying $20 muesli, either dressed in fur or running gear with gigantic camel toes showing through their nike leggings. horrific stuff.

"do u have any gluten free breadcrumbs?"

  7. I haven't really laughed hard in a long time. I mean there's lolin'... and then there's uncontrollable laughter that bubbles up from inside you which you can't stop and by the end you're out of breath and teary. I miss that experience. it's been a couple of years, I think. nothing makes me laugh like that anymore :|

Yes!!! i was just thinking this the other day, i remember getting sent out of a lesson at secondary school once cos i was uncontrollably laughing so hard, i really miss that feeling :(

somewhat related, just got fired for the first time from a retail job. i guess they could see through my politely smiling mask and sense how little i gave a shit.

might just gap to wellington and see if i can find an actual proper job down there.

if it wasn't you then thanks for nothing.

i'e been watching sopranos for the first time (omg). don't need to rant n rave really, cos everyone already knows its the best shit.

  9. If someone else doesn't watch A Town Called Panic soon I'm gonna snap.

dude was that the stop motion thing? with those guys from the milk adverts?

i remember watching that by chance when i was ill or hungover or something, was pretty cool.

i miss having a tv, i would always find the strangest films by surprise, stuff that i'd never ordinarily see.

  10. yeah but they call it the timbernet & autofilter any reference to DELICIOUS TIMBITS to refer to DELICIOUS TIMBITS

today ive eaten a banana & a cookie

walk the earth, smoke weed with some 13 yr old skaters, steal pies from windows, scream in the middle of the desert, piss off the edge of a glacier, dance to panpipe riddims with some mountain goats and then reach nirvana, after that get a job as a data processor or somethin
