  1. I'm sorry you get embarrased while being alone listening to music....

and thank you analogue, I have heard some good Wiley and Kano, forgot about them...

but i will checkin' out the names you spilled....

and the Scorn tracks with the heavy distorted basslines is what I am talking about when I say he was a major contributor to the harder dubstep sound which I prefer more.......

  2. yes, a death metal drummer helped to invent good dubstep, with some other folk who didn't make nearly as good music, but are claimed as the inventors and if you can't hear the influence on his Hymen records then you're an idiot.

There is so much amazing dubstep in my opinion, but the grime has the cheesiest presets ALL OVER IT, and no fucking punch to it with people rhyming about Brit pop culture shit! Virus Syndicate and Dizzee Rascal are all that really worth getting into, the rest bite balls, and three 6 mafia would hack them to pieces with machetes if they ever met......

look to grime first my ass! look to DMZ records, Tectonic, Tempa, Destruction, Dub Police, Clandestine Cultivations, Hyperdub, Planet Mu, Hotflush, Rephlex, Big Apple, Texture, Mordant Music, Boka,Halo Beats, Southside Dubstar, and some others I am forgetting.......

I guess I haven't heard hardly any good grime because most of it sounds like clown music with terrible presets chosen for the beats and basslines and melodies....

Listen to the tracks I put up, that is what this music is all about!

not fucking oi this and oi that and look at me Kappas bullshit, take that shit to south central LA and get your face blown off, no knives and billy clubs aloud.......Gangsta Boo will eat your face off!

edit: no offense to anyone in here, this is all opinion.......

  3. Napalm Death Drummer Mick Harris' music under the name Scorn is the beginning of dubstep....

I look at this music as a combining of dub and industrial music, with a bit of hip hop...

    with distorted and filtered basslines....

and then grime is just a bit cheesier with Brit MC's smeared all over it....

Virus Syndicate being as good as grime gets.....

and yes there is much difference between Burial, Kode 9 and Spaceape, and all of the other great producers around right now.....

some very poor ones as with all music.......

Mr Slash, Virgo, and Davinche come to mind when I am speaking of shitty producers..........

my friend Idi Amin/Kicst8dt got me into Scorn years ago, and I am just now appreciating it in all it's gloriousness.....

  4. yes, this thread is going to annoy the hell out of a lot of you elitist freaks, so here it goes!

    industrial music....

    dub music........

Basslines that make the weak-willed faint........

innovated by the drummer from Napalm Death........

the tracks 'Angels' by Vex'd and Toasty Boy....two amazing yet completely different tracks with the same name.........

Sin City being the most sampled film ever in one genre......

these are some of my favorite things about this music.....

and listening to it really loud!

Don't be a hater, smoke a reefer and jam out with me......

    Man.......

    Guy.......

listen to Rob 7 by Darqwan, Gary's Gruesome Grime Mix by µZiq, and Desperate Measures by Search and Destroy, and if you still don't dig it, and can't see that it has almost as much variety as 'electronic music', then be a hater.........

but I'll be goddamned if I don't love me some fuckin' bassed out dubstep!
