Started playing Dwarf Fortress mode and now I'm a bit scared.

Just installed Dwarf Fortress and can't decide whether to play Dwarf Fortress, Adventurer or Legends mode and the little acoustic guitar is starting to drive me crazy.

I always wanted to create a very complex 2-d adventure with the beautiful look of "Baphomets Fluch" (that's German, no idea how it is called in English...) but a way more clever and non-linear story... if anyone wants to help with programming and stuff, I would sit down and start writing

It's designed so that artists and writers can produce LucasArts-standard point and click adventures without a ton of programming knowledge. Tons of great games have been made using it.
so ... I read that link, the features, then half of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_game and now I want to know what would be the adventure game equivalent of Autechre + Gaarg says so I can take a look and see if this is something I want to play?

all good ideads guys but im thinking more watmm themed ARG like banned members come back as a ghost or aphex twin dies and haunts watmm being a ghost or something like that?
this doesn't make sense and would add even more to the confusion because a bunch of banned members / Warp / Rephlex / Planet Mu people are posting here already

- Kassem Mosse (only heard the Enoha EP and wasn't too impressed. Nice laser sounds though)
- James Ferraro (post-ironic advertising noise art garbage)
- Hype Williams (super weird British bass. Some of their stuff is extremely good)
I think he borrows from Actress like someone said but adds more darkness and classic songwriting appeal to his songs. There is also a producer from Chicago I think, Hieroglyphic Being who has a very interesting but sprawling and uneven discography that rings a bell or two, Theo Parrish plus the whole archive of library music that those Modern Love guys have been using lately. Some videogame soundtracks? He's become extremely good at this thing, I knew Andy Stott from some Vladislav Delay remixes but I didn't see these two albums coming!

I was at this supposedly nice bakery and I asked for a rather expensive chicken pie. It took a bite and freezed so dude goes 'what' and I'm like '... This doesn't taste good'. At this point the cashier and some rich old woman who was having coffee while making Important Business Deals On Her Cellphone were staring at me so I repeated the sentence. She says 'Is it the dough or the chicken?'
'I don't know it just doesn't taste good'
She takes the pie, smells it and makes facial gesture implying there is nothing wrong with it.
'OK do you want something else?'
'uhm... Do you have something that you actually baked today?'
lady gives me a FUCKYOU face.
'We baked everything today'
'OK OK give me that piece of bread'
I should have answered but then it probably wasn't her fault and the bread was good so, w/e.
