  1. I can't see that this sequel will give me the same warm/nice feeling between my legs. But I'm willing to give it a go.

can you pinpoint the occurrence of that feeling down to a particular scene, or is it just building throughout the entire film, from the moment you see the tree?

    perv. lol

  2. I subtly suggested a few posts back that it was my birthday yesterday, and nobody on watmm made me a birthday thread, and I got depressed even though 40 people I actually know posted on my facebook wall.

I spilled paint on my runners before, wonder how much I can sell them for.

margiela makes some excellent shoes if you're into that sort of thing and i know at least one watmmer wears them. if you've got the cash, why not?

Cause I could think of 6 billion better things to do with it.

it's not about having money or not, they are cool shoes. I think you missed my point..

Fashion is about distinction - being ahead of the pack (but not so far ahead that your out completely on your own).

High prices are an easy way of attaching distinction to a product.

Hence, those shoes may be cool, but about 60% to 70% of the coolness is directly because of the price. (with maybe 30% to 40% of the coolness being about the design or designer or whatever).

Hence the high price is a very important part of the appeal of the shoes.

Lets say a more realistic price for the shoes is about $100 (even thats probably way above what they actually cost to make)

That means people are willing to pay $1500-ish extra for the coolness.

Trying to buy coolness is not cool.

Hence those shoes are in fact, not cool.

    QED.

Well I thought they were cool before I saw the price tag.....................................................................................................so your theory is incorrect.

  4. that's not a functional shoe.

plus, i suppose this means you only wear strictly functional undyed cotton sneakers and untanned leather boots? there are plenty of unfunctional shoes in this thread - look at all those nike swooshes. that's not functional. look at all those different colours. definitely not functional.

Darlings, woman for centuries have enticed men into bed with shoes that are not functional.

  5. Iain C - I think they're amazing I'd love to have a pair just to look at!

Also Margiela make beautiful shoes (Bambi has a wicked pair)

You haters don't know shit, posting shoes that belong in the sale area of TKMaxx!

  6. I also have these nike-wmns-air-feather-hi-premium-3-570x427.jpg

i like these! i'm looking around for non tennis shoes now since i don't want to rock them anymore and i'm not into the styles of today.

You should check out 'H' by Hudson, they do some really nice mens shoes

  7. i wear red wing iron rangers most days, now that my beloved 7-year-old oxblood DM's have more or less fallen apart.

These look a bit like my riding boots (well they're the same colour). Because I'm cool I wear them normally, not just for working around horses.

  8. Everything Vonnegut-related that I've read is excellent. Also read Slaughterhouse Five and Mother Night.
