LOL , that quote was making fun of McCarthyism and the whole movement (So , i was making fun of the OP , by using a quote that nobody will understand because i can post voice tones) As a socialist (kind of) , i hate when the paleoconservatives try to tie Socialism with Communism. McCarthyism has a goal , and that is to destroy Communism , and anything that "RESEMBLES" communism. Even if its proven that Jesus invented Socialism , McCarthy and Co. will renounce their christian fate. If Jesus is proven a socialist, they will create a "conspiracy" like argument like "Communism was created by a few men to conquer the world ,Socialism was created by the son of god to help the world. ,The Son of god was created by a few men to conquer the world , therefore Socialism should be destroyed". Look don't take my word or that author's word for it, go out and read gramsci's work for yourself and make your own mind up. I've already shown you one case where the author of the article you posted deliberately misquoted Gramsci to fit his agenda, but if you don't want to believe me, that's fine.
