Pretty tune, thought the melodies worked nicely, it's got warm flow throughout. The mix feels fairly solid, I think the hithat section (from .59-1.40 odds) is the main thing I'd play with, as you already noted. Perhaps just make them a little lower in the mix and try some EQ treatment to make them a bit less jarring. Really, it's a minor thing though, thought the track was good!

Yeah its not too bad. Pleasant not really a leading tune more of a middle tune in album I would say. I think the hi hats are at the wrong pitch basically try transposing them by about 6-8 notes and see how they sound after that. Overall not instantly memorable but probably needs a few more listens on my part. :-)

not enough happening. i'd make it half shorter and develop from the ending pattern with some beats n fuckery. it's not good enough to last about 4 minutes without major changes.

the sound quality of this file is really shitty but it gives a pretty good idea on how the hihat sounds as of the moment

i'm kind tired of fuckery and the typical "let's throw more shit in"-approach. while i appreciate the criticism i also disagree with it, i prefer songs that mellow out towards the end, and this is supposed to be mellow.

you can still make it shorter and develop from the ending pattern, without fuckery, or simply make it shorter and work harmonies / chord changes, slight subtle stuff in the background, dunno. i believe tommib lasts less than 2 minutes, while it's got more inspiration.

I'm not aiming for tommib, mate. It's a completely different type of track, the comparison is kind of weird (unless you just wanted to think of a random song that is shorter but better - I could probably do that too). But yeah, it might do with some more harmonic variation towards the end.

Yeah hi hats sit better now - good job. Reminds me a bit of early B12 now. Yeah pleasant little tune.

Thanks! It's not entirely finished yet I suppose but mostly
