The distorted piano voicing for the main melody sounds a bit too thin and wispy to me; I'd fatten it up a bit or have a wispy synth counter melody earlier on... Great job overall! I get your point about the distorted piano, it does seem a touch lost when soloed at the start. Maybe some of the clean piano played underneath would fatten it up.
