Meh, misquoted old post.
Was reading through this thread and whilst it's not nice to know of fellow watmmers suffering with this blight, it's somewhat comforting to be reminded that it's actually quite common.

my least favourite level....it lacks the harmonic complexity of level 4 or the blissful warmth of level 6.
to me, level 7 sounds a bit like outtakes from the previous stuff.
it is more melodic, indeed, which makes it more accessible, but it sounds a little bit simple-minded compared to the previous stuff.

Level 7 is fantastic. Seems to be much more variety in the tracks.

I just converted them to 320 MP3. I don't have the hard drive space for FLACs, plus I don't think my battered ears would be able to tell the difference
