  1. the DR-202 was the first synth gear I ever got. I remember hooking it up with my Soundblaster to MIDI cable into Cakewalk :) I'm so nostalgic right now I might just go and install some warezed cakwalk software. I didn't like the drumcomputer much though, the samples were too cheesy for me back then. Didn't have anything to process the sounds with, so it was really difficult to make it sound passable.

  2. I've been playing a lot of quakelive lately. I got q3 when it came out and played that so much.. I really like the game quakelive, the physics, rulesets, some maps. just the fact that this game is still so popular is great. and a lot of the stuff that made q3 so great is in there. there are also a lot of douchebags playing during daytime and evening, trying to outwit one with words instead of skill, and the statistic buffs are almost intolerable. but playing later hours usually gives some nice games. I really want to get back into dueling. not so much the clan arena stuff which is the easy goto.

also did a run through Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. But my game was corrupted half way due to me patching it. Don't think I'll try again soon. It was pretty good, but not very difficult and full of bugs and easy exploits... lot of potential but a lot of traps and triggers don't seem to function. story wise it was ok.. 90s hacker meets Scarface with superhuman powers, ok.

still haven't played through Skyrims main storyline, so maybe I should pick that up some more. I always end up picking up so many reagents. I'm a pharmacist ranger, little bit of destruction damage.

Yup sansa clip+. A bit buggy, but it was cheap.

Put rockbox firmware on it and you can play a ton of games on it too including:

I have a Sansa Clip+. I love it. But I've been hesitant on putting Rockbox to it. Why should I do it? I know I can play games and shit. But would you recommend it? Why?

I almost bricked mine on the first day I got it, due to some strange disk corruption. It would take minutes to start up and wouldn't respond. So I came across rockbox, and basically just installed it when it finally decided to boot correct.

You lose DRM playback, and I wouldn't recommend it for games really, playing doom feels like ur handicapped. But just look through the features yourself and decide... For me recordings seem cleaner, no interference anymore, and I can record in WavPack format, which is nice. Bookmarks are nice. Autoresume. Theres some nice stuff there.

lol yes. i have one of these and love it. i have not used rockbox yet, but i did install HL1 on my ipod Nano a while back. Very strange.

Rockbox is great! Doom was what made me check it out, but now I can now record in lossless format, and the recordings are not bad at all. Just checked a bunch, no interference like with most phones, clean sound.

  5. Received the mail as well. But cannot download the new files, as the zip package only has a jpg.. Hopefully we received an inofficial special remix before ;-)

jup only a jpg so far.. would be nice if it was a different take but I doubt it :)
  6. just received this in my inbox:

    Dear Customer

Thank you for purchasing the Dilankex EP in 24-bit WAV format.

We have discovered that the wrong files were accidentally delivered to us.

We have now had a new delivery and have uploaded new files.

Please delete any files you may have downloaded and get the updated files from inside your account at your convenience.

wonder what that's about. and what is that upsampled 16bit to 24bit stuff about, vincentvc? sort of came out of nowhere.

  7. I keep everything in a git repo.

for real? also huge wavs? sounds like it's more work then beneficial.

I don't know git though, I tried it with subversion a long time ago, and maybe mercurial. but those aren't really suited for that type of thing.

Are you on Mac or Linux? Git on windows is full of pain.

  8. I remember putting on Confield for the first time, and I was really digging it. Really put an impression on me, the 'I know what I was doing at the time' kind of impression, sitting in front of my computer in the morning chilling out.

I know you said it wasn't a big step for you going from previous work to Confield, but it sounded pretty pre-historic alien artifact like to me. Like uncovering fossils or something. Like wtf have I uncovered?

    Exai is niice, sounds sentient.

you ever destroy tracks you're working on, see what happens? or are there always relative small steps involved in the process?

  9. love reading through all the responses, some insightful stuff.

and so marathonic.. just like the mixlr stream a while back, really like that. was reading these responses yesterday night trying to catch up, and at a certain moment you get over a threshold and things just start to get nice and deep (nice and derp). thanks!
