This is only translation. Im just the messenger. Im here not often.
"K, screw it.
You're so hesitating, I should speak.
You need 2 pills, 2 strong beers and a half of strong pint with your buddy.
What comes after? Why me? What it has to do with those abandoned factories? Why today?
Each one of you takes a stamp of acid. Half an hour later you notice 500 vinyl records trying to break free. They're all being shot to the death by their masters. They are swimming in their blood. You realise that the idm music is still playing. Suddenly you realise that Richard is all that you have. You cry the joy of tears. You are free now.
You think it's not Richard. But it's Richard.
You think it's not Richard. But it's Richard.
You think it's not Richard. But it's Richard.
You think it's not Richard. But it's Richard.

Some random stuff (probably discussed before):
Chartreuse color is considered to have "mandela effect", which means that a lot of people remember it wrong (being pink/red), like number of US states or Berenstein Bears (or me thinking that Syro release date was 21 and not 19 of september). Mandela effect can be called one of the conspiracy theories about parallel universes and stuff like that. That it's not your memory's fault, but in reality at that time things were not what they are today, cause way too much people remember it being different. I like how even such small detail fits perfectly into the whole "Syro Lore" that accompanied the record, when in almost every interview Rich talked about said conspiracy theories, time travel, being mad professor and such (and chemtrails ofc), creating a specific background for the music. Maybe he also remembered chartreuse being a different color and things like this entertain him. He said something (or meant) that with a bit of magic and believing in such things life gets more fun. That way you keep your inner child and interest to things around you, protecting you from becoming "tired skeptic that sees only grey colors". Like, what is more important - knowing the mundane boring truth, or living in a beautiful and interesting lie? Or take ancient people that believed in gods and totems - gods had strong characteristics, like being brave, merciful and generous, for instance - so people would naturally try to have these too (i know some gods are cruel etc, but just for example). Like, if a "lie" makes you a better person or chances your life, is it really so bad? Take Christianity for example (hot topic I know) - we realise that this stories are fiction, and probably there is no God, but believing in Jesus and trying to act like he preached makes a world a better and safer place (I'm not talking about the church and politics behind it, but just the teaching itself). I think sometimes this things can be good, just don't get too fanatic about it and don't force people to accept your beliefs.
Or maybe he was serious about chemtrails and all that stuff, who knows.

Take a moment to appreciate how fucking good the intro music to Robocop on the Spectrum is.
Used to dance around my parent's dining room to that.
and here's The robocop 3, probably my favorite 8bit classic
good stuff

Oh and how I hate those stupid ragga jagga vocals all over the place! it's my most hated things in all musics ever, it almost ruined the genre for me cause in early dubstep they were everywhere, thank god those days are over.
There, I already feel better.
-
not a classic dubsteps, but I come back to MBM - A.C.I.D every now and then to get lost in it completely
you need a good system to appreciate the record tho

omfg that track

It took about two years of life
I really started digging it.
At first I was like "what the fuck",
but now I'm loving every bit.
I know I'm probably too late,
but this is fucking masterpiece.
It's best that Richard ever done.
High quality orgasmic bliss.
I think because of melodies
it was so hard to understand.
I never thought that aphex could
do melodies, but seems he can.
He changed so much with analords.
Progressed with rushup to the edge.
Its real outliner catalogue
with time machine and pseudo stretch.
It came from nowhere and confused.
So far away from what I wished.
It made me laugh so hard I cried.
Hes such a fucking legend fish.
Im gonna blast the shit again
and listen to it one more time.
I actually can't wait for more,
so see you guys again sometime.
lalalalalalalala

Did you like the record, Steve? Or you will have a shroom party for first listening?

Oh, I don't mind, boys
He returns an hour later with bear.

Its like pills to me. They start kicking when Ld Spectrum arrives and melts your face along with Cheetah7b. Such beautiful and well going together tracks. Everything is wet, smooth, you're lying on the cables watching leds and diodes shining in the dark studio with lots of synths, drum machines and shit. Richard stands up and plays with them a bit, making 2 short ms800 tracks and goes away for some time. You're still smashed. He returns an hour later with bear. You stopped sweating so much. This time he plays with circlon3. The magic is still there but you feel that you and the tracks are getting dry. Then goes circlont1. Ok. Rick is getting tired. Pills are almost off, we smoke one more joint and lie there for some time talking about chemtrails and shit. I ask if he can make a track in less time that the track lasts and it still will be descent. He makes 2X202-ST5 and jokes that he will release it. I pack my stuff, roll one and go home.

My favorites from sonic youths:
Confusion Is Sex + Kill Yr. Idols, so unique moody and fresh
EVOL, cant express how i love it
from sonic matures: Murray Street & Sonic Nurse
those are just 2 very good and solid albums combo with no bullshit in it
Other albums have hits and misses for me. These 4 are perfect
Never understood the fanboyism around Daydream Nation.
But really, I dont care about albums and tracks so much anymore. They are like friends to me, and when i hear their songs it means that Im having some good time with this people, whatever is playing Im feeling the same.

Aphex & Squarepusher had a bet, who can make the best album with a laptop and fruityloops. Drukqs & Go plastic were bornt.
Sooooo...who won?
-

To add about Kolхoznaя : in russian it means that it came from the dirty simple village where silly people in cheap clothes drinking vodka with bears, compared to highly civilized intelligent people from big city. Its not always meant in that bad mood ofc, but often with slight arrogance. I think that his current wife jokingly calls that the track колхозная cause its childish silliness and simplesness, specially the start (I can clearly see village people getting smashed, there is something so goofy hearthwarming about it), compared to some super duper serious electroniq tunes from serious artists of real scene that are trying too hard. It sounds good, but the mood is like it was made by some kid (yet its 100% afexish), like start and pads in the middle. And overall. Specially if you are not into idms and cant distinguish shit from the real deal. When I hear it the 15 year old child that firstly discovered RDJ and milkman/funny little man etc awakens in me, very nostalgic and playful. Sometimes I start the silly dance. Its fits very much that the video for this track was made by 12 year old kid using very simple record techiqes and stuff, it perfectly rephlects the mood of it, the message. It couldnt be any better.Great EP
