Fol4 is my favorite thing they have ever done and it's completely unmatched by anything else. No such a track exist that would be even remotely close to it. Also Perlence Suns ❤️

    fuck yeah Fol4

i always thought there's a heavy Throbbing Gristle influence in that one, wouldn't sound out of place on some of the late period TG albums

  3. i always found my original pressing extremely heavy on the low end; especially in acroyear2 and 777 a lot of detail gets drowned in the bass. could be just my setup, but i actually prefer this one on cd/digital

this album is fuckin wild. it's always balancing on the edge of completely falling apart, but it's still somehow super tight and controlled. would love an outtakes/b-sides EP from this era one day.

there's that 12 min ambient version of VL AL 5 they played on one of their radio shows

Early Kangding Ray, Alva Noto, Opiate, Jan Jelinek, Farben, Frank Bretschneider, GAS, Andreas Tilliander.

Check out releases by the label Mille Plateaux from 98-01 or so, and especially their clicks&cuts-series.

all of these, and then ekkehard ehlers, autopoieses, microstoria, the 20'-2000 series

twerk's "living vicariously through burnt bread" is another favourite from that era
